Two of the most well-known ski resorts in the West are making a change that is sure to turn some heads and upset more than just a few guests.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Starting next winter, Snowbasin Resort<\/a>, Utah, and Sun Valley Resort<\/a>, Idaho, will begin charging $10 per person per day for access to its resort lodges. <\/strong>The cost for children 12 and under will be free, while 13\u201317-year-olds will be $6. Season pass holders will be able to add lodge access all winter for an additional $199. For Ikon Pass holders, both resorts will use the \u201cPay with Pass\u201d feature, which allows pass holders to link their credit card to their pass and scan it for lodge access.<\/p>\n

This move is a clear signal that a continued shift is happening in how high-end resorts manage space, crowds, and amenities.<\/strong><\/p>\n
