It\u00a0is believed\u00a0to have sold for around 800 Reichsmarks (roughly $4,000 today); by comparison, Ury\u2019s Berlin Impressionist scenes have fetched between $40,000 and $100,000 at auction in more recent years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tAccording to the museum, Goldschmidt fled to Paris in 1937, where he lived in hiding throughout the German\u00a0occupation,\u00a0until\u00a0his death\u00a0in 1947.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cCurt Goldschmidt\u2019s fate is representative of that of many Jewish collectors and patrons.
