But those whose creativity soars higher can be seen above the sprouting treetops. IVE are undoubtedly among the pinnacle of the genre; after emerging with gargantuan early hits like “ELEVEN” and “LOVE DIVE”, their 2023 debut album, I’ve IVE ,confirmed the hype, and a series of smaller projects have kept the band in the utmost tier of the Korean sonic consensus.

In late February of 2026, the six-piece (made up of ANYUJIN, GAEUL, REI, JANGWONYOUNG, LIZ, and LEESEO) shared their sophomore full-length album, Revive+. It finds the band reaching a crescendo of emotional maturity and musical nuance, seamlessly collaborating with each other, as well as having some stand-out solo moments of individuality. IVE will be taking the album on a global tour, with dates across Asia, Australasia and North America, kicking off in Kuala Lumpur this weekend (4th April) and concluding in Taipei in September.

Ahead of the sprawling tour, IVE speak to Wonderland about the new album, their evolving creative process, and how they switch off from the madness of being global pop stars.

Listen to Revive+…

Read the exclusive interview…

The new album, Revive+ feels like a turning point for the band. How does it feel to come back?

ANYUJIN: Coming back with REVIVE+ feels incredibly meaningful for us. As we worked on this album, we spent a lot of time thinking about where we want to go next as a group and the kind of music we want to share. Being on the same page throughout the process made everything feel even more exciting for us.

LEESEO: The word “revive” means to be reborn, and I think this album really shows a reborn version of IVE. It feels more mature and evolved than before, so in many ways it feels like the beginning of a new chapter for us.

How would you describe the process of creating this album compared with your previous releases?

GAEUL: This time, we prepared a much wider range of promotional content than before, so there was a lot more filming involved. Managing our stamina became especially important, but it was also meaningful because it gave us the chance to show new sides of ourselves.

JANGWONYOUNG: We also challenged ourselves with songs in new genres, which meant spending a lot of time refining the choreography and performances. We especially focused on syncing closely with our dancers to create a more polished stage.

REI: It’s been a while since our last full-length album, so we wanted to show how much we’ve grown both as individuals and as a team. That’s why we tried many new things while preparing this album.

What has changed since your first album?

ANYUJIN: Compared to our early days, each member now has a much clearer sense of our identity as a group and what we want to express through our work. I think that clarity has made our teamwork even stronger.

LEESEO: Looking back from our debut until now, we’ve always kept moving forward step by step. That journey has helped us grow more confident, and I think it shows in how we come together as a team today.

Fans have noticed a thematic shift from “I” to “we” in this project. What inspired that change?

JANGWONYOUNG: Many of our earlier songs focused on the story of “I,” but with this album, we wanted to expand that message into “us.” It felt like the right time to open a new chapter and share a broader perspective through our music.

LIZ: The idea of “us” is reflected throughout the album. We wanted to tell a story that feels more connected and complete as a group, and that intention naturally shaped the way the album came together. Even though each member has her own solo track and story, they all come together to form one larger narrative.

What is special about being in a girl group?

GAEUL: I think what makes it special is that people with different personalities and charms come together to form one team. As we spend more time together, we grow and learn from each other, and that process naturally builds our teamwork. Having teammates who are all moving toward the same goal together makes the journey really meaningful.

REI: Being surrounded by members who support and motivate one another means a lot to me. The energy we share is incredibly powerful, and I think that kind of connection is something very special.

Each member has a solo track on the new album. How did you approach expressing your individual voice while maintaining the group’s cohesion?

ANYUJIN: For this album, we wanted to show not only IVE’s story as a team but also each member’s individual colour. At the same time, we felt that when each of us expresses the most authentic version of ourselves, it naturally comes together to create something that still feels very IVE.

JANGWONYOUNG: Since this was my first solo track, I wanted to express my message more directly. I tried to capture the idea that the main character of your life is always yourself. I think that message also reflects what IVE hopes to share with listeners as a group.

Were there any surprising creative moments or challenges when recording your own songs for the first time on a full album?

LIZ: Preparing my solo song was both exciting and a little nerve-wracking at first because it felt like a completely new challenge. But as I worked on it, the excitement quickly outweighed the worry.

LEESEO: I tried to highlight my own voice and also experimented more with rap than before. It was such a valuable experience, and I learned a lot about my own style through the process.

What’s your favourite lyric from your new album?
LEESEO: I sing the opening line of “BANG BANG,” and my favourite lyric is “Right, unnie?” It’s catchy and sticks with you right away, and it’s also a fun part to perform on stage.

JANGWONYOUNG: When writing “BANG BANG,” I focused on themes of confidence and self-assurance. I wanted the lyrics to be fun and easy for people to enjoy. The line LEESEO mentioned is actually something I wrote while thinking about her, so I love how naturally she delivered that part.

In terms of visuals and performance, what new creative risks did you take with this comeback? What was your favourite shoot to participate in?

LIZ: One of the new things we tried was choreography where I walk on top of a table, which was definitely a new challenge for me. We also performed with a large number of dancers on stage, and I think all of that together made the performance feel much richer and more dynamic.

GAEUL: Filming overseas was especially memorable for me. The different locations added a lot of variety to the visuals, and it sometimes felt like we were stepping into different scenes, almost like being part of a movie.

How do you hope Revive+ will resonate differently with longtime IVE supporters versus new listeners discovering IVE for the first time?

REI: This album explores the idea of “us” rather than just “me,” so I hope it feels relatable in a broader way. For longtime fans, I hope they can see how we’ve grown through that message, and for new listeners, I hope the emotions come through naturally, regardless of language or culture.

GAEUL: For fans who have supported us for a long time, I hope this album feels like an honest reflection of who IVE is right now. We tried to show ourselves as we truly are, without hiding or exaggerating anything. And for new listeners, I hope this album gives a clear sense of our identity and invites them to connect with us naturally.

What excites you most about your world tour?

LIZ: I’m already feeling excited and a little nervous about meeting fans in so many different countries. Through this world tour, I hope we can meet as many DIVE around the world as possible and share meaningful moments together.

REI: We’re working hard so we can show even better performances and create unforgettable memories with our fans everywhere. I’m especially excited about feeling the energy from the audience in each city and sharing those experiences on stage.

What does a completely off-duty IVE night look like?

GAEUL: In my free time, I like to relax by reading since I enjoy spending time with books. But when we’re all together, we usually like to unwind more casually. Recently, after finishing the “BANG BANG” music video shoot, the members and I relaxed together and ate pizza, and it was so good.

ANYUJIN: For us, an off-duty night is usually about spending time together in the most comfortable and fun way. Whether we’re just talking, eating, or relaxing, those simple moments together are what make it feel the most special.

What’s something about this era that would surprise the 2021 version of you?

JANGWONYOUNG: If the 2021 version of us could see where we are now, I think they would be surprised by how much we’ve evolved. With this album especially, I really wanted to show new sides of ourselves that fans haven’t seen before. Over time, we’ve become more confident in expressing our ideas and exploring different styles of music.

REI: When we first debuted, everything felt new and exciting, and we were still figuring things out step by step. Now, I feel like we understand ourselves much better, both individually and as a team. Preparing this album made me realise how far we’ve come and how ready we are to take on new challenges.

LIZ: When I look back, I realise that I’m now performing on the kind of stages I once dreamed about. Thinking about our early days, the biggest surprise would probably be how much we’ve matured. With each album and stage, we’ve taken small steps forward, and this album feels like another meaningful turning point for us.

What is next for IVE?

LEESEO: Right now, this album feels very meaningful and special to us, so we want to share it with as many people as possible. I hope that through this era, more listeners can connect with our music and get to know us better.

ANYUJIN: After the album promotions, we’ll begin our second world tour, SHOW WHAT I AM. We’re really looking forward to meeting more fans around the world and experiencing each city together. Through this tour and everything that follows, we want to keep challenging ourselves and continue showing new sides of IVE through our music and performances.

Tickets for IVE’s world tour are on sale from Thursday 2nd April.

    31 March 2026

Feature Interview

Music

Thundercat Knows How To Get The Party Moving

Wonderland ALL ROADS LEAD TO IVE Ahead of their monumental global tour, K-pop worldbeaters IVE talk perspective, performance, and finding individuality amid connection.
