The most sacred Sunday of Flemish cycling arrives this Sunday, April 5, and the biggest stars are coming to worship at its altar of harsh cobbles and steep Hellingen<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Tadej Poga\u010dar, is (like always) the man to beat over the terrible trio of the Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, and Koppenberg.<\/p>\n

All the usual bruisers \u2013 Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert, Mads Pedersen et al<\/em> \u2013 will be hoping to prevent King Pog from defending his title and winning Flanders a third time.<\/p>\n

The defending champion is a top favorite on the women\u2019s side, too. Lotte Kopecky is in hot form and targeting a record fourth victory in Oudenaarde.<\/p>\n

Who might stop the \u201cwinningest woman of Flanders?\u201d<\/p>\n

If it\u2019s not Kopecky\u2019s very own teammate Lorena Wiebes, look to Elisa Longo Borghini, Pauline Ferrand-Pr\u00e9vot, and the FDJ double-threat of Demi Vollering and Elise Chabbey.<\/p>\n

Tour of Flanders race schedule: Sunday, April 5:<\/h3>\n

  • Tour of Flanders (278km):<\/strong> Antwerp-Oudenaarde: 10:00 CET to 16:30 CET approx.<\/li>\n
  • Tour of Flanders Women (164km):<\/strong> Oudenaarde-Oudenaarde: 13:25 CET to 17:30 CET approx.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Both the Tour of Flanders and Tour of Flanders Women will be broadcast live worldwide, and post-event highlights packages will also be available.<\/p>\n

    Many broadcasters have rights to screen the full six hours of the men\u2019s race, for those of you who are overcome with \u201cFlanders Fever.\u201d<\/p>\n
