In Colorado, the season is being described as <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/colorado-is-on-track-for-its-worst-snowpack-on-record\/\">the worst in 50 years<\/a>, with resorts opening less than half their usual terrain for much of the winter. In Utah, the snowpack peaked at 75% of average in late February before collapsing to just 15% of median by late March \u2014 a 60-point drop in less than a month. Even major resorts have been affected: Deer Valley closed three weeks early, Snowbasin shut its lifts a month before its usual date, and Aspen\u2019s Buttermilk and Highlands both closed ahead of schedule.
