From rage rap golden child Yeat\u2019s gargantuan sixth album,\u00a0<\/span><em><span>A Dangerous Lyfe<\/span><\/em>,<span> to Underscores remaking pop with\u00a0<\/span><em><span>U\u00a0<\/span><\/em><span>and Slayyyter\u2019s undeniably infectious <\/span><em><span>Wor$t Girl in America <\/span><\/em><span>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/arts-entertainment\/music\/news\/slayyyter-racist-tweets-apology-camila-cabello-charli-xcx-a9261166.html\">past transgressions<\/a> notwithstanding), March 2026 has seen releases from the full spectrum of music. But what should you be tuning into? What artists, at this early stage, might define the summer? Below, we highlight five tracks you can\u2019t afford to miss from March 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>\u201c1000 QUESTIONS\u201d \u2013 BLOODZ BOI AND JACKZEBRA<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"src-youtube video-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-youtube\" data-id=\"bYbG_CkLWLQ\"><span class=\"preserve-aspect-ratio\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen frameborder height=\"422\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bYbG_CkLWLQ\" webkitallowfullscreen width=\"750\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p><span>Delve deep into the internet and over the Chinese firewall and you\u2019ll find a radical new movement taking hold \u2013 the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/69940\/1\/billionhappy-is-the-king-of-the-nu-china-rap-scene-shanghai-spring-2026\"><span>Nu China scene<\/span><\/a><span>, which blends American rap influences with hyper-local Chinese references. The new <\/span><em><span>BloodZebra<\/span><\/em><span> tape unites the movement\u2019s biggest influence, Bloodz Boi (who, last year, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/68917\/1\/bloodz-boi-interview-the-humble-godfather-of-chinese-underground-rap\"><span>told Dazed<\/span><\/a><span> about how he spent hours reuploading old Drain Gang and Raider Klan tracks inside the Chinese internet in the early 2010s), with one of its premier figures today, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/music\/article\/66520\/1\/jackzebra-is-the-auto-tuned-voice-of-post-industrial-china\"><span>jackzebra<\/span><\/a><span> (most recently becoming Surf Gang\u2019s first Asian signee).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>True to the spirit of both of their discographies, <\/span><em><span>BloodZebra <\/span><\/em><span>is chock full of post-industrial ennui, setting Bloodz Boi\u2019s yearning melodies and jackzebra\u2019s bit-crushed rap verses against dusky cloud rap production. Jackzebra\u2019s girlfriend, hpsb, also dropped a beautiful new single this month \u2013 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k1ic2h0w-L8&amp;list=RDk1ic2h0w-L8&amp;start_radio=1\"><span>\u201c\u7948\u7977\u201d<\/span><\/a><span> \u2013 which you should also check out if this tape catches your interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>\u201cUNKNOWN LOVERZ\u201d \u2013 SLAYYYTER<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"src-youtube video-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-youtube\" data-id=\"hkmQyOhvKmo\"><span class=\"preserve-aspect-ratio\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen frameborder height=\"422\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hkmQyOhvKmo\" webkitallowfullscreen width=\"750\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p><span>29-year-old American singer Slayyyter got the premium pop star treatment with her new album <\/span><em><span>WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA<\/span><\/em><span>. With videos for every single one of its 14 tracks (including no less than nine dropping with the album today), and soundscapes that cover the full breadth of pop sonics \u2013 from Azealia Banks-esque rap vocals on \u201cCrank\u201d to thumping electroclash on \u201cBrittany Murphy.\u201d and beyond \u2013 Slayyyter is being hard-launched back onto everyone\u2019s timelines after a controversy surrounding her old tweets caused her to retreat from the limelight in 2019. A particular highlight of the project, however, is dreamy pop-punk cut \u201cUnknown Loverz\u201d, which forms a standout intimate moment among the hedonism. It\u2019s undeniable fun.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>\u201cFIRE 2\u201d \u2013 GRACE IVES<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"src-youtube video-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-youtube\" data-id=\"A6ycGNzE_NU\"><span class=\"preserve-aspect-ratio\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen frameborder height=\"422\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A6ycGNzE_NU\" webkitallowfullscreen width=\"750\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p><span>Bedroom pop, art pop, indie pop, synth pop; a lot of labels have been thrown about in regards to New York singer Grace Ives, but what they all gesture at is how her music inhabits the exact moment that pop euphoria hits something darker and more introspective. This trait is on full display on her third album, <\/span><em><span>Girlfriend<\/span><\/em><span>, which was created following Ives\u2019 pursuit of sobriety and soul-searching in the three years since <\/span><em><span>Janky Star <\/span><\/em><span>dropped in 2022. It\u2019s got all the bodily catharsis of Lorde\u2019s <\/span><em><span>Virgin <\/span><\/em>and<span>\u00a0the alt-rockiness of Sky Ferreira<\/span><span>, packaged with lyrics that feel deeply personal and profoundly relatable.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>\u201cWARNING\u201d \u2013 CAMERON WINTER<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"src-youtube video-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-youtube\" data-id=\"RX6Xni32dmY\"><span class=\"preserve-aspect-ratio\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen frameborder height=\"422\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/RX6Xni32dmY\" webkitallowfullscreen width=\"750\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p><span>The Geese frontman continues his campaign to be the youngest star inducted into Hollywood\u2019s Walk of Fame. Appearing on WarChild\u2019s <\/span><em><span>HELP (2) <\/span><\/em><span>compilation album, which brought together everyone from Olivia Rodrigo and Beabadoobee to Arctic Monkeys and Pulp to raise money for children affected by war, Cameron Winter\u2019s \u201cWarning\u201d is consciously unsettling. Featuring Winter delivering a powerful admonishment of evil in the world today against nothing but grating violin strings, the track is both strongly aligned with <\/span><em><span>HELP (2)<\/span><\/em><span>\u2019s central message, as well the biggest standout on the project.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><span>\u201cIDK IDK\u201d \u2013 JIM LEGXACY<\/span><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"src-youtube video-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-youtube\" data-id=\"sZzvQP2fV-c\"><span class=\"preserve-aspect-ratio\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" allowfullscreen frameborder height=\"422\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sZzvQP2fV-c\" webkitallowfullscreen width=\"750\"><\/iframe><\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p><span>Given the discrepancy between the Spotify and YouTube upload titles, this track poses a problem: how many \u201cIDK\u201d\u2019s do we actually write here? We dunno. What we <\/span><em><span>do <\/span><\/em><span>know, however, is that any day that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/jim-legxacy\"><span>Jim Legxacy<\/span><\/a><span> drops a song is a good day. His first release since <\/span><em><span>Black British Music<\/span><\/em><span> last year, \u201cidk idk\u201d has all the hallmarks of a great Jim Legxacy track: an all-star lineup (Natanya\u2019s on the backing vocals and there\u2019s a YT cameo in the music video), a choice sample (this time coming in the form of a fan interview UK Ug page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWQ3MHdDMWC\/?img_index=1\">Outsider Voices UK<\/a>), and, of course, a snus reference. The lyrics are wrought with uncertainty about the increasing pressure he&#8217;s feeling from major labels and his life direction after \u00a0the passing of his sister in 2024. But what should you be tuning into? What artists, at this early stage, might define the summer? With videos for every single one of its 14 tracks (including no less than nine dropping with the album today), and soundscapes that cover the full breadth of pop sonics \u2013 from Azealia Banks-esque rap vocals on \u201cCrank\u201d to thumping electroclash on \u201cBrittany Murphy.\u201d and beyond \u2013 Slayyyter is being hard-launched back onto everyone\u2019s timelines after a controversy surrounding her old tweets caused her to retreat from the limelight in 2019. A particular highlight of the project, however, is dreamy pop-punk cut \u201cUnknown Loverz\u201d, which forms a standout intimate moment among the hedonism. We dunno. What we <\/span><em><span>do <\/span><\/em><span>know, however, is that any day that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/jim-legxacy\"><span>Jim Legxacy<\/span><\/a><span> drops a song is a good day. His first release since <\/span><em><span>Black British Music<\/span><\/em><span> last year, \u201cidk idk\u201d has all the hallmarks of a great Jim Legxacy track: an all-star lineup (Natanya\u2019s on the backing vocals and there\u2019s a YT cameo in the music video), a choice sample (this time coming in the form of a fan interview UK Ug page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DWQ3MHdDMWC\/?img_index=1\">Outsider Voices UK<\/a>), and, of course, a snus reference. The lyrics are wrought with uncertainty about the increasing pressure he&#8217;s feeling from major labels and his life direction after \u00a0the passing of his sister in 2024.
