The Rebel Mitten from Level Gloves (\u20ac63.96 on levelgloves.com<\/a>) is a leather mitten that blends clean style, solid warmth, and the kind of flexibility you actually need for your everyday riding. I\u2019ve been rocking these for a while now, mostly on park laps and some street missions, and they offer a really nice balance between comfort and performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

According to Level\u2019s website, the Rebel Mitten has a 2,000 Thermal Certification Index, which puts it in the \u201cstandard warmth\u201d category, down to -10\u00b0C. That basically means it\u2019s built for everyday riding rather than the absolute coldest days. For park skiing, where you\u2019re constantly moving, hiking, and sessioning, the warmth feels spot on.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d say it performs best somewhere between 0 and -15\u00b0C. On typical winter days, my hands stay warm without overheating, which is key. Even on really freezing days, they still hold up pretty well\u2014you can definitely ski in them in very cold temperatures.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The mitten is made from waterproof goat leather. It blocks wind well and keeps moisture out while still staying soft and flexible. I really appreciate that these don\u2019t feel stiff at all, which has sometimes been my issue with leather gloves. One feature I always appreciate is the Storm Leash\u2014super simple, but essential for me when taking your mittens off on the lift or digging through your pockets. Without it, I\u2019d be losing them all the time.<\/span><\/p>\n
