His body was later transported back to the valley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The client, an American national, sustained minor injuries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ribeyre was widely respected in the Alpine world.<\/strong> A sponsored athlete with Arc\u2019teryx and a member of the SCOTT Sports Winter Pro Team, he was known for his work in steep skiing and exploratory alpinism.\u00a0He featured in SCOTT\u2019s <em>Freedom To Explore<\/em> series, including the \u201cArctic 12\u201d project, where he skied the 12 highest peaks in Sweden.
