This year has flipped that script entirely, with inconsistent storms, long dry stretches, and warm temperatures leading to thin coverage and early closures instead of the all-time conditions skiers were enjoying just a couple seasons ago.<\/p>\n<p><strong>While a few late-season storms could still bring a brief return to winter in higher elevations, the bigger picture is already set for many resorts.<\/strong> This season will be remembered for its inconsistency, its early endings, and the reminder that even in strong ski regions, nothing is guaranteed.
