| Photo: SnowBrains<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><em><strong>The Mount That Matters<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>A good mount is everything.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>You don\u2019t notice it when it\u2019s right, but you <em data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"672\">definitely<\/em> notice it when it\u2019s wrong.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>When I got my Meier skis, the Leeper, I had no idea where to mount them. <\/strong>They\u2019re a pretty center-mounted ski, way different than all of the more traditional setups I\u2019ve been on in my career, and I didn\u2019t want to mess it up, have to remount them or worse, toss them and have to order a new pair.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So I brought them to Jared at Jans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jared grabbed a tape measure and we went deep. <\/strong>We looked at my old skis, compared mount points, talked through how I like to ski, how the Leeper is designed, what would feel natural versus what might feel off.\u00a0 We went back and forth over the distance from center versus the distance from the tail and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We landed on -2cm from the recommended boot centerline.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It was thoughtful. <\/strong>It was deliberate.
