Louisville crossover thrash troublemakers Belushi Speed Ball<\/strong> have announced their fourth studio album, Toxic Waste Was Everywhere In The ’80s<\/em>, arriving June 5. The band plans to celebrate the release the following day with a chaotic performance at Milwaukee Metal Fest.<\/p>\n The album features artwork from renowned metal illustrator Andrei Bouzikov<\/strong>, known for his work with Municipal Waste<\/strong>, Toxic Holocaust<\/strong>, and High on Fire<\/strong>. Packed with 12 high-speed tracks, the record promises the band’s signature blend of frantic riffs, punk energy, and tongue-in-cheek humor.<\/p>\n Frontman Vinny Castellano<\/strong> says the band believes the new record is their strongest yet: “We are so excited to drop our strongest album to date! Toxic Waste Was Everywhere in the ’80s<\/em> is guaranteed to melt faces into a plutonium level pizza pit.”<\/p>\n Castellano<\/strong> also joked that the group might need to release a “blank greatest hits album” before the new record arrives. “We ain’t had a hit yet, and this entire album will be nothing but banger hits after banger hits.”<\/p>\n The album also marks the recording debut of two new members: bassist Justin McClure<\/strong> and drummer Ben Cotton<\/strong>, the latter known for his work with Rose Funeral<\/strong> and SIDS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Alongside the announcement, the band has released the first single, “I Ought Not Know.” The track playfully imagines how Dave Coulier<\/strong> \u2013 rumored inspiration behind Alanis Morissette<\/strong>‘s iconic breakup anthem “You Oughta Know” \u2013 might respond if he were a pizza-loving thrash musician.<\/p>\n Castellano<\/strong> explained the tongue-in-cheek premise: “Allegedly, this is the song Dave Coulier<\/strong> would have wrote (if he liked pizza, thrash, and had musical talent).
