this Saturday, March 21, as the resort works to raise $10,000 for a foundation dedicated to free avalanche education across the state.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <em><a in 4 Days<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The milestone event supports the Nickolay Dodov Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in memory of Nickolay Dodov, who lost his life in an <a href=\"https:\/\/snowbrains.com\/category\/avalanche-2\/\">avalanche<\/a> in Haines, Alaska, in 2012.<\/strong> The foundation is led by his parents, Alex and Natalia Dodov, both longtime members of the Bear Valley community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The foundation has reached more than 30,000 skiers, snowboarders, students, coaches, and parents over the past 12 years through its \u201cKnow Before You Go\u201d avalanche awareness program and interactive youth safety workshops.<\/strong> All education is provided free of charge.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related: <em><a prizes donated by local and regional sponsors.
