Candide never stopped being the GOAT.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

After the iconic three-part \u201cOne Of Those Days\u201d POV series that helped him cement that title\u2014not to mention any number of additional projects, like \u201cSki The World\u201d<\/a> or the documentary \u201cFew Words,\u201d<\/a> Candide has kept us on the hook with a steady drip of consistently jaw-dropping skiing.<\/p>\n

For the past several years, though, his drops have been mostly minimalist\u2014one absolutely jaw-dropping clip<\/a> now and again that rips us out of our reverie and reminds us why we started calling Candide the GOAT in the first place.<\/p>\n

Now, Candide has shaken up that state of play with the drop of \u201cLes Tufs,\u201d his longest piece in years, in which the legend gives us a generous almost five minutes of skiing on a fantastical landscape in Tignes, France. Candide fans\u2014which is pretty much everyone at this point\u2014are ecstatic to see Candide\u2019s riding for longer than 15 seconds at a time. And as per usual, it\u2019s in the most flabbergasting way possible\u2014making a face that most of us wouldn\u2019t even consider skiable into his own personal playground.<\/p>\n

And then, of course, there\u2019s the snow. To hijack the top comment on YouTube: \u201cI\u2019ll never complain about conditions again.\u201d<\/p>\n

The long radio silences broken by unexpected drops are part of Candide\u2019s mystique. And there\u2019s probably no skier on the planet who controls their footage more tightly. So, color us thankful that Candide has finally opened the floodgates again and let us enjoy a longer video. (Look at me in the year 2026, calling a four-minutes-and-fifty-seconds video long.)<\/p>\n

No doubt about it, the GOAT is still the GOAT. But if I may critique\u2014and yes, this seems crazy but I\u2019ll do it anyway\u2014we know Candide has obsessed over every second of this video. So, my dog\u2014where\u2019s the landing on that cork 7 bleezy at 1:47?<\/p>\n

Alas, I digress. Les Tufs is the most Candide we\u2019ve gotten in years, and we\u2019re here for every outrageous second of it.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
