         <\/div>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<div class=\"ciam-article-t365\">\n<p>Daniil Medvedev admitted that he \u201cdidn\u2019t feel great\u201d after he was awarded a controversial point during a crucial stage of his quarter-final win over Jack Draper at the Indian Wells Open.<\/p>\n<p>After a dominant opening set from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/daniil-medvedev\">Medvedev<\/a> as he broke twice to take a 6-1 lead, Draper put up a better fight in the second as they remained on serve until the 10th game of the set.<\/p>\n<p>Then it all went pear-shaped for Draper on his serve at 5-5 [15-0] as he was called for hindrance and, after a video review, chair umpire Aurelie Tourte gave the point to Medvedev.<\/p>\n<p>But the Brit was unhappy with his opponent as Medvedev finished the rally before deciding to complain and request a video review.<\/p>\n<p>The world No 11 ended up breaking Draper\u2019s serve and then served out the match for a 6-1, 7-5 win that earned him a follows:<\/p>\n<p>Medvedev: \u201cIf you are mad with me, I\u2019m sorry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Draper: \u201cNo, I\u2019m not all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Medvedev: \u201cBut I would understand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Draper: \u201cI don\u2019t think it distracted you enough. I was kind of tiny bit distracted. So I said to the umpire, like, \u2018What should I do? Should I do it next time straightaway?\u2019 And she goes, like, \u2018If you want, you can video review.\u2019 I said, \u2018Okay, video review.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd whatever she decides, she decides, and she decided that it\u2019s a point for me. So I take it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s basically it. Was I distracted big time? No. Was I distracted a bit? Yes. Is it enough to win the point? I don\u2019t know.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Medvedev was also asked if things were \u201cokay\u201d with Draper after the match.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think so, I mean, it\u2019s more a question for him because, right, because I would be okay with him after what happened, so it\u2019s more a question to him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we have a great relationship, so I don\u2019t think one incident like this could make the outcome, especially, as again, I told him straightaway, if she thinks it\u2019s not enough, 15-All, we go on.
