\n\tThe installation,\u00a0Regular Animals<\/em>\u00a0(2025), will be presented at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin from April 29 to May 10, coinciding with Gallery Weekend Berlin. The work features a pack of\u00a0porcine-robotic quadrupeds fitted with grotesquely lifelike heads modeled after figures including Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, and the artist himself.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tOriginally staged inside a plexiglass pen at Art Basel\u2019s new digital-art section, the machines roam the space, capturing their surroundings with built-in cameras. Each \u201cdog\u201d processes what it sees through an A.I. filter styled to the visual language associated with whichever figure\u2019s head it wears. The resulting images are then printed and ejected from the robots\u2019 rear-ends for visitors to collect.<\/p>\n \n\tThe installation quickly became one of the fair\u2019s most talked-about works, drawing crowds who gathered around the enclosure waiting for the moment one of the creatures would produce a print\u2014a moment that often prompted cheers and laughter from onlookers.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tCurator Lisa Botti told\u00a0Artnet News\u00a0<\/em>the Berlin presentation reflects a broader effort by museums to engage more directly with the cultural and political implications of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. Cultural institutions, she said, cannot remain outside conversations about systems that increasingly shape economies, politics, and everyday life.\u00a0<\/p>\n \n\tBeeple\u2014whose real name is Mike Winkelmann\u2014first gained international attention during the NFT boom when his digital collage\u00a0Everydays: The First 5,000 Days<\/em>\u00a0sold at Christie\u2019s for\u00a0$69 million in 2021.
