With Euphoria entering its final chapter, Priscilla Delgado \u2013 trailed by a haze of mystique \u2013 emerges as one of the HBO show\u2019s intriguing new faces. Well, fact fans, we can reveal she\u2019s a devotee of Rosal\u00eda and hasan unwavering love for fostering animals.<\/h3>\n

Last February, photos circulated of 5\u20195 Spanish actor Priscilla Delgado stepping squint-eyed out of the Silver Slipper desert bar \u2013 Euphoria<\/a>\u2019s \u201cfully nude, always lewd\u201d strip-club haunt \u2013 alongside Zendaya, who plays the show\u2019s central figure, Rue. Priscilla, fully clothed, appears mid-confrontation. Her character, still little more than a visual cipher, wears grey tracksuit bottoms, and a green tank top,long French-tip nails slicing the air, her gaze fixed and fiery. It is enough to ignite speculation across Deuxmoi, X, and Reddit, where fans rush to fill in the blanks.<\/p>\n

Online theories soon spiralled, ranging from the weird to the damnright bizarre. One Reddit user offered a particularly vivid sketch: \u201c20s female. Latina. Fiery dancer at a strip club. Brash & street smart. Determined to uncover the truth when something feels off.\u201d For now, it remains conjecture \u2013 the kind Euphoria thrives on. \u201cThe mystery about it has made the whole process very discreet and very intimate,\u201d the 23-year-old tells us, smiling knowingly. \u201cAs you can imagine, I can\u2019t say much about my character or how [her plotline]eventually unfolds.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Priscilla\u2019s real-life profile looks quite different. \u201cI\u2019m a very boring normal person,\u201d she says, laughing. That apparently includes a deep affinity for animals, fostering wherever she can and making it a personal mission to \u201cget homes for those little animals that are on the streets\u201d; a guilty pleasure for staying up far too late watching films alone (one she refuses to feel all that guilty about) and a love-hate relationship with social media, \u201cwhich is probably more hate than love.\u201d Despite being held to perhaps the tightest pinky promise (or rather NDA) she\u2019ll ever have to sign, Priscilla is warm and disarmingly open to let us into her world. Euphoria, on the other hand, is another matter entirely.<\/p>\n

Seven years after the first episode dropped, and three months before the third and final season airs, the softly-spoken, rosy-cheeked Spanish actor is still sworn to secrecy, bound by the familiar non-disclosure that comes with joining HBO Max\u2019s immersive, star-making account of adolescence.<\/p>\n

So what can she confirm?<\/p>\n

Albeit, very little. She\u2019s joining the cast as a new face, character unnamed, and the cult show is finally moving its characters beyond the titillating drama of high school. \u201cIt brings new challenges and new circumstances that the [cast] eventually have to face,\u201d she explains. Joining Euphoria itself was a challenge too, years in the making, tracking all the way back to her television debut aged seven, in a Spanish show calledLa chica de ayer. Then came her silver screen debut a few years later with thriller The Evil That Men Do, her first English-speaking role. \u201cThat was a turning point. At first, it was really like a game, but that\u2019s probably the moment where I understood that there\u2019s a lot of responsibility to being on a set, and you have to go with your homework done,\u201d she says. \u201cIt\u2019s a very serious thing \u2013 continuously being able to be part of the creation of a miracle all the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

So after a steady accumulation of miracles, Priscilla landed her first audition for Euphoria at 17, ahead of the show\u2019s second season, reading for some of its major players. \u201cI wasn\u2019t prepared at that time for such an adventure,\u201d she admits. \u201cImagine how stimulating it is to be part of something that you truly and deeply believe in, but not only you \u2013 a lot of people. Millions of people around the world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, after not bagging a role on her first try, it wasn\u2019t enough to stop her putting her hat in the ring again. One more time. \u201cThey ended up giving me the character I was most curious to explore,\u201d she shares. \u201cWhen I got the news, it was a pinch-me moment. The Euphoria cast are the new generation of talent,inspiring so many people. Knowing I\u2019d have the chance to meet them in person was absolutely immense.\u201d<\/p>\n

Priscilla\u2019s admiration for the cast predates her involvement. Though no longer part of the show following his ALS diagnosis, Eric Dane\u2019s performance as Cal Jacobs \u2013 father to Jacob Elordi\u2019s dangerously charming Nate \u2013 left a lasting impression. \u201cThat is one of the most intriguing and mysterious performances I\u2019veseen in an actor,\u201d she says. \u201cThe way he holds the character, his eyes\u2026This is a show of actors, it\u2019s been a masterclass in every sense.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the centre of it all is director Sam Levinson. \u201cKnowing him and being able to be part of his world has probably been the most rewarding thing thatI\u2019ve ever experienced,\u201d she says, pressing a hand to her heart. \u201cHe\u2019s tremendously generous, with a unique and remarkable way of working. It\u2019s been a dream to share this story with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Much of that story will begin to unfold from 13th April \u2013 including Priscilla\u2019s own character, whom she speaks about with quiet affection. \u201cI think she\u2019s very special. She\u2019ll definitely have something to say or to transmit to the audience,\u201d she says. \u201cI really hope people enjoy her.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the season\u2019s other additions is Grammy Award-winning artist Rosal\u00eda, who released an 18-track album LUX late last year, receiving both critical acclaim and high praise online. Naturally, her casting has ignited speculation online \u2013 her appearance on the show marking her first ever not as a \u2018composer\u2019 or a \u2018performer\u2019, although the latter she takes on in a different medium. From the most recent trailer, it appears their characters are closely linked, circling back to Silver Slipper, where the singer dazzles as a sparkle-clad, burlesque-esque stripper. \u201cThe closest thing that I have to being a fan girl is with Rosal\u00eda,\u201d Priscilla says giggling. \u201cNow that I know her, I\u2019m even more of a fan. I love her so much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Naturally, entry into the Euphoria sphere opens doors, and who knows what lies on the other side of this one. Understandably, the feeling still borders on the surreal. \u201cEuphoria, as a feeling, is very dangerous because you\u2019re always striving for it\u2026but life cannot always be like that.\u201d The last time she felt euphoric? She pauses, then laughs coyly. \u201cI don\u2019t know if I can disclose it,\u201d she says, hiding a smile behind her hands. \u201cI\u2019ll leave it up to the imagination.\u201d<\/p>\n
