across his extraordinary career, and has picked up his fair share of awards as well.<\/p>\n<p>However, it is another member of his family picking up an award in Indian Wells this week, with the Spaniard\u2019s older brother and coach, Alvaro, receiving a rather unique honour.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tennis-news\/carlos-alcaraz-reveals-brother-will-take-on-more-prominence-as-new-team-role-emerges\">who has stepped up to officially join Alcaraz\u2019s coaching team in recent months<\/a>, has been crowned the \u2018Hottie Coach of the Year\u2019 by the <em>Nothing Major<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n<h2>Tennis News<\/h2>\n<p><a what separates Carlos Alcaraz &amp; Jannik Sinner from their rivals<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Hottie Coach\u2019 award follows along from the \u2018Hottie Bracket\u2019 award handed out in 2025 by <em>Nothing Major<\/em>, which is fronted by former ATP Tour players Sam Querrey, John Isner, Jack Sock, and Steve Johnson.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Hottie Bracket\u2019 saw 16 players compete in a tennis-style bracket, with fans voting for their favourite ATP \u2018Hottie\u2019 in round of 16, quarter-final, semi-final, and final votes.<\/p>\n<p>It was Matteo Berrettini who won the inaugural \u2018Hottie Bracket\u2019 last year, beating Tommy Paul in the final \u2014 though it is Alvaro Alcaraz picking up the first \u2018Hottie Coach\u2019 award.<\/p>\n<p>Alvaro won the vote against Iga Swiatek\u2019s coach, Wim Fissette, in the round of 16, before defeating Robert Lindstedt \u2014 coach of Bu Yunchaokete \u2014 in the last eight.<\/p>\n<p>He was then victorious over Ryan Harrison, the coach of Sebastian Korda, in the semi-final vote, before being drawn to face <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/marat-safin\">Marat Safin<\/a> \u2014 the coach of Andrey Rublev \u2014 in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, it was in fact the 26-year-old who sealed the \u2018Hottie Coach\u2019 title, narrowly beating former world No 1 and two-time Grand Slam champion Safin, claiming 52% of the vote compared to 48% for the Russian.<\/p>\n<p>News of Alvaro\u2019s triumph quickly fed back to world No 1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/tag\/carlos-alcaraz\">Carlos<\/a>, with the seven-time Grand Slam champion asked about his brother\u2019s victory during his post-match press conference on Monday.<\/p>\n<h2>Full exchange<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Q. You know, I was probably more nervous than my tournament here (smiling).<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, funny thing that a lot of players were, you know, watching it, were, you know, following the results. You know, happy that my brother took the Hottie Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n<h2>Alcaraz\u2019s Indian Wells campaign<\/h2>\n<p>Team Alcaraz will hope this is not the only prize they win this fortnight, with the world No 1 still in contention for the men\u2019s singles title in Indian Wells.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennis365.com\/atp-tour\/indian-wells-open-carlos-alcaraz-jokes-players-turning-into-roger-federer\">The Spaniard battled past Arthur Rinderknech in three sets on Monday night<\/a> and will now face 13th seed Casper Ruud in the fourth round.<\/p>\n<p>Alcaraz is yet to lose a match in 2026, and will be eyeing up a third title in Tennis Paradise, having previously triumphed in Indian Wells in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Want more from Tennis365?
