Hewitt had always preached restraint, famously stating, \u201cI want to be skiing when I\u2019m 60. Not burned out. Not broken.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-path-to-node=\"16\"><strong>Now, the \u201cLongevity Equation\u201d he pioneered faces its greatest test.<\/strong> While his recovery will be long and arduous, Hewitt remains lucid and grateful for the \u201cbrothers and sisters\u201d who saved his life on the slopes of the Skyway.
