However, when travelling in this type of terrain there is always an inherent risk, even with thorough planning, experienced guides and careful evaluations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2356\" data-end=\"2555\"><strong>SeilNorge added that it will conduct a thorough review of the incident, working with professional experts and preparing a formal report to share lessons learned with the wider mountain community. <\/strong>\u201cWe are grateful for the efforts of the rescue teams and everyone who contributed to the response,\u201d the company said. \u201cMost of all, we are grateful that the outcome was as good as it was.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>The avalanche occurred during a period of elevated avalanche danger across northern Norway.<\/strong> The national avalanche warning service Varsom had issued a \u201cconsiderable\u201d avalanche danger rating (Level 3 of 5) for Vester\u00e5len, Lofoten, Ofoten, and S\u00f8r-Troms on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The mountains surrounding Trollfjord have become increasingly popular for Arctic ski touring, offering steep couloirs that plunge directly toward the sea. <\/strong>But the same terrain that attracts skiers also makes rescue operations challenging.
