While the socialite-entrepreneur certainly didn\u2019t invent nail art, her playful taste has made her one of the internet\u2019s leading manicure it girls<\/a>, and she\u2019s helped bolster the popularity of various designs and finishes (most notably, \u201cglazed donut\u201d chrome<\/a>). So when she gets a new set, it\u2019s wise to pay attention \u2014 because you\u2019ll probably see it everywhere in the coming months. And that\u2019s especially true of Mrs. Bieber\u2019s latest nail look: A super-glossy \u201csoft chrome\u201d that feels perfect for spring.<\/p>\n

The Rhode founder posted a \u201cstory dump\u201d to Instagram on Mar. 3. While most of the slides were dedicated to her brand\u2019s spring launches (modeled by Love Story<\/em> breakout Sarah Pidgeon<\/a>), a few featured snaps of her personal life \u2014 among them, a mirror selfie showcasing the mega-watt mani. The nails appear to consist of a clear or nude base, topped with subtler, warmer chrome than the blue-pink shift associated with the classic \u201cglazed donut\u201d look. One could almost describe the finish as the perfect halfway point between \u201cchrome\u201d and \u201csuper glossy top coat.\u201d<\/p>\n

As nail artist Kiko Kitano told TZR<\/a>, this spring, these quieter chromes with a \u201csoft, light-catching glow\u201d will be all the rage. \u201cUnlike traditional chrome, it enhances the base color and shifts beautifully under different lighting, creating a luminous yet understated effect that works across nail shapes and lengths,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n
