An engine company created by John Judd and three-time F1 champion Sir Jack Brabham will partner with JAS to reengineer the V6 in the middle of its \u2018Tensei<\/a>\u2019 supercar. The Tensei, remember, is JAS\u2019s take on the Mk1 Honda NSX.<\/p>\n

Judd of course has plenty of juicy history when it comes to building proper screamers, having made its name in Formula One (V8s and V10s), sports cars (also V10s), and even touring cars.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

So it\u2019s got plenty of experience that it\u2019ll apply to the rebuilt Honda 3.5-litre V6 powering the Tensei. We\u2019re told Judd will be responsible for \u201csuitability checks\u201d, along with lightening the thing and making \u201cenhancements\u201d that focus not just on power and torque, but reliability too.<\/p>\n

Despite being completely rebuilt, these 3.5-litre six-pots will \u201cremain faithful to the values of the original NSX\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cWe work on 3.5-litre engines, both modern and historic, on a daily basis and are looking forward to applying our knowledge to a Nineties icon like the NSX in order to create a level of performance and drivability that makes it the envy of its class rivals in the modern world,\u201d said John Judd Jr.<\/p>\n
