Revelstoke Mountain Resort<\/a> wrapped up February in excellent form, with consistent refreshes keeping conditions soft and wintery across the upper mountain.<\/strong> Day after day, light snowfall and subalpine temperatures hovering around -5\u00b0C preserved quality snow surfaces and kept turns feeling mid-season fresh.<\/p>\n

While the recent pineapple express<\/a> cycle left rain runnels and challenging surfaces across parts of coastal British Columbia, higher elevations in Interior B.C.\u2014including Revelstoke\u2014were largely spared.<\/strong> With a reported base depth exceeding 280 cm, coverage remains strong up high, providing a healthy foundation heading into March.<\/p>\n

Credit also goes to RMR\u2019s mountain safety team for opening alpine bowls throughout storm cycles and periods of strong wind, maximizing access during a dynamic weather pattern<\/strong>. Conditions do change as you descend. Base-area temperatures have been flirting with the freezing mark, and coverage is beginning to thin at lower elevations. Ski-outs to the valley bottom are still in play but are likely to narrow as March progresses, particularly if warmer temperatures persist.<\/p>\n

The outlook remains promising, with additional snowfall forecast for the first week of March\u2014a welcome continuation of what has been a steady late-winter reset for Revelstoke\u2019s upper mountain.<\/p>\n
