The US\u00a0<\/span>military said on Saturday that it\u00a0had\u00a0received no reports of\u00a0combat casualties after Iran<\/a> launched\u00a0hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel and Gulf states\u00a0in retaliation for a major US-Israeli attack<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Following the initial wave of U.S. and partner strikes, CENTCOM forces successfully defended against hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks. There have been no reports of U.S. casualties or combat-related injuries,” the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“Damage to U.S. installations w<\/span>as\u00a0\u200cminimal and has \u200cnot\u00a0impacted\u00a0operations,” the statement added, in referene to the attacks on infrastructure in several US installations in Gulf states.<\/p>\n

It said the US began striking targets in Iran<\/span>\u00a0on\u00a0Saturday “to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus, prioritizing locations that posed an imminent threat.”<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

“The President ordered bold action, and our brave Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, Guardians, and Coast Guardsmen are answering the call,”\u00a0said CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper.<\/p>\n

The statement said targets included\u00a0<\/span>Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n

In a post on his Truth Social network, Trump labeled Khamenei “one of the most evil people in history.”\u00a0<\/p>\n

“He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other\u00a0leaders that could have been killed along with him, could do,” Trump said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trump said that he is hearing that many of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), “Military and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us.”<\/p>\n

“Hopefully the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves,” the president said.<\/p>\n

He said that “heavy and pinpoint bombing, however, will continue, uninterrupted throughout the week, or as long as necessary to achieve our objective of” peace in the Middle East and the world.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, theUnited States’ State Department said that Secretary of State Marco Rubio would not travel to Israel on Monday amid increasing military escalation between the two allies and Iran.<\/p>\n

“Due to current circumstances, Secretary Rubio will no longer travel to Israel on March 2,” State Department official Dylan Johnson said in a post on X.<\/p>\n
