Their sound blends immersive atmospheres, technical precision, and infectious melodies atop a foundation of East Coast brutal death metal.<\/p>\n<p>The lineup for <em>On The Promise Of The Moon<\/em> features returning members guitarists <strong>Terrell Grannum<\/strong> (<strong>Th\u00e6tas<\/strong>) and <strong>Rick Habeeb<\/strong> (<strong>Grey Skies Fallen<\/strong>, <strong>Buckshot Facelift<\/strong>), along with vocalist <strong>William Smith<\/strong> (<strong>Afterbirth<\/strong>, <strong>Buckshot Facelift<\/strong>, ex-<strong>Artificial Brain<\/strong>). New additions drummer <strong>Hudson Barth<\/strong> (<strong>Trog<\/strong>) and bassist <strong>TJ Coon<\/strong> (<strong>Trog<\/strong>, <strong>Sentient Horror<\/strong>) contribute to the writing process, giving the record fresh energy while maintaining the band&#8217;s signature intensity.<\/p>\n<p>Tracked at OK Recording Studios in Kinderhook, New York, the album was mixed and mastered by <strong>Dan Swan\u00f6<\/strong> (<strong>Bloodbath<\/strong>, <strong>Edge Of Sanity<\/strong>, <strong>Grey Skies Fallen<\/strong>) and features cover art by Moldovan painter <strong>Ion Carchelan<\/strong>. Guest appearances include vocalists <strong>Eston Browne<\/strong> (<strong>Vulnificus<\/strong>) and <strong>Jon Berg<\/strong> (<strong>The Path<\/strong>), with string arrangements by <strong>Ben Karas<\/strong> (<strong>Slaughtersun<\/strong>), adding layers of dark, melodic atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>On the lead single &#8220;What Only Worms Witness&#8221;, <strong>Smith<\/strong> explains: &#8220;Lyrically, &#8216;What Only Worms Witness&#8217; is a contrasting depiction of both the ugliness of physical death and the melancholy optimism of enduring legacy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Like many songs on the album, it reflects on grudges, the passing of time and paying homage to the deceased.
