The track marks the beginning of what the band calls the &#8220;trilogy of silence outlives the earth,&#8221; a three-song arc that concludes the upcoming album and includes &#8220;ii. in the gut of the wolf&#8221; and &#8220;iii. twilight in the reflection of dreams.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>On the new single, the band explained: &#8220;&#8216;i. the many names of god&#8217; is the first in what we consider the trilogy of <em>silence outlives the earth<\/em>. The trilogy represents a distinct shift in tone from the previous songs on the record.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We wanted the aesthetic of the tracklisting to persuade the feeling of that shift. The tour kicks off on March 6 at the Nevermore in Baltimore, MD and wraps up on April 19 at the Vibes Event Center in San Antonio, TX.
