The full 2026 nominee list is:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Black Crowes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeff Buckley<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Mariah Carey<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Phil Collins<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Melissa Etheridge<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Lauryn Hill<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Billy Idol<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>INXS<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Iron Maiden<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Joy Division \/ New Order<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>New Edition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Oasis<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Pink<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Sade<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Shakira<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Luther Vandross<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wu-Tang Clan<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ten of the nominees appear on the ballot for the first time, including <strong>Phil Collins<\/strong>, <strong>Lauryn Hill<\/strong>, <strong>INXS<\/strong>, <strong>Pink<\/strong>, <strong>Shakira<\/strong> and <strong>Wu-Tang Clan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This diverse list of talented nominees recognizes the ever-evolving faces and sounds of rock and roll and its continued impact on youth culture,&#8221; said chairman <strong>John Sykes<\/strong> in a statement.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Iron Maiden<\/strong> have been eligible since 2004 but have only previously appeared on the ballot twice \u2013 in 2021 and 2023. Both times, they were passed over.<\/p>\n<p>If inducted, the Hall has previously indicated that the honorees would include current members <strong>Bruce Dickinson<\/strong>, <strong>Steve Harris<\/strong>, <strong>Adrian Smith<\/strong>, <strong>Dave Murray<\/strong> and <strong>Janick Gers<\/strong>, as well as former members <strong>Dennis Stratton<\/strong>, <strong>Paul Di&#8217;Anno<\/strong>, <strong>Nicko McBrain<\/strong> and <strong>Clive Burr<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Despite selling over 100 million records and becoming one of heavy metal&#8217;s most influential exports, <strong>Maiden<\/strong> \u2013 alongside peers like <strong>Mot\u00f6rhead<\/strong> \u2013 have yet to secure induction. Meanwhile, <strong>Guns N&#8217; Roses<\/strong> were inducted in their first year of eligibility.<\/p>\n<p>Artists become eligible 25 years after the release of their first commercial recording. This year&#8217;s nominees will be voted on by more than 1,200 artists, historians and music industry professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The official 2026 inductees \u2013 along with recipients of the &#8220;Musical Influence,&#8221; &#8220;Musical Excellence,&#8221; and &#8220;Ahmet Ertegun Award&#8221; honors \u2013 will be announced in April.\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"zox-post-body left zoxrel zox100\"><strong>Want More Metal?
