Sometimes they exist for a few years, put out some great music that we&#8217;ll listen to for years to come, and then fade away. Sometimes they come back, sometimes they don&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>Check out these eighteen relatively short-lived projects, whose members all have other notable bands that occupy their time, but still put out records that are still worth spinning today. Rota<\/strong> (<strong>Fireball Ministry<\/strong>) and <strong>Dave Bone<\/strong>, bassist <strong>Brad Davis<\/strong> (<strong>Fu Manchu<\/strong>), and drummer <strong>Jess Margera<\/strong> (<strong>CKY<\/strong>) \u2013 was a rock force to be reckoned with. The Monolith<\/strong>, <strong>Cryptic Slaughter<\/strong>), and drummer <strong>Danny Walker<\/strong> (<strong>Phobia<\/strong>). The band put out one record <em>Dementia \/ Dyslexia<\/em> in 2010 and, despite some teases and even announcing a bassist in 2014, never followed it up. I was guitarist and vocalist <strong>Abbath<\/strong> (<strong>Abbath<\/strong>, ex-<strong>Immortal<\/strong>), guitarist <strong>Ice Dale<\/strong> (<strong>Enslaved<\/strong>) and bassist <strong>TC King<\/strong> (ex-<strong>Gorgoroth<\/strong>, ex-<strong>God Seed<\/strong>), drummer <strong>Armagedda<\/strong> (ex-<strong><strong>Immortal<\/strong><\/strong>), and lyricist <strong>Demonaz<\/strong> (<strong>Immortal<\/strong>). The band released <em>A Stirring In The Noos<\/em> in 2017, and as of 2023 may soon get removed from this list. It&#8217;s been 10 years since their one and only album, and <strong>Wilson<\/strong> said earlier in 2021 that he likes to think there will be another one someday. And hey \u2013 we got a <strong>Porcupine Tree<\/strong> reunion, so maybe there could really be another <strong>Storm Corrosion<\/strong> record? The project was talked about for years until it finally dropped its debut self-titled album in 2016. The project then dropped <em>M\u00f6rkrets tid<\/em> in 2018 as <strong>\u00c4lvestam<\/strong> alongside guests <strong>Johan Rand\u00e9n<\/strong>, <strong>Ronnie Bj\u00f6rnstr\u00f6m<\/strong> (<strong>Solution .45<\/strong>), <strong>Jocke Sund<\/strong>, and <strong>Thomas &#8220;Plec&#8221; Johansson<\/strong> (<strong>Torchbearer<\/strong>). The band released their first and only album <em>Them Crooked Vultures<\/em> in 2009 and, despite the occasional comment here and there about the band getting back together every year or so, it hasn&#8217;t happened yet.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"New Fang\" width=\"880\" height=\"495\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/S7_vH3H8LPI?feature=oembed\" frameborder allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-t-r-a-m\">T.R.A.M.<\/h2>\n<p><strong>T.R.A.M.<\/strong> is <strong>Animals As Leaders<\/strong> guitarists <strong>Tosin Abasi<\/strong> and <strong>Javier Reyes<\/strong>, drummer <strong>Eric Moore<\/strong> (ex-<strong>Infectious Grooves<\/strong>, ex-<strong>Suicidal Tendencies<\/strong>), and multi-instrumentalist <strong>Adri\u00e1n Terrazas-Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> (ex-<strong>The Mars Volta<\/strong>) handling woodwinds and brass. <strong>T.R.A.M.<\/strong> has one record named <em>Lingua Franca<\/em> out in 2012 and that was it.
