Because dataminers believe they&#8217;ve discovered more evidence that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/games\/monster-hunter-wilds\">Monster Hunter Wilds<\/a> could be coming to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/platforms\/switch-2\">Nintendo Switch 2<\/a> &#8211; a sentence we&#8217;ve already typed out here at Eurogamer in the year 2026.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s right, we&#8217;re back on familiar ground following the release of a massive update for Capcom&#8217;s latest action-RPG this week, in which the Japanese publisher unleashed a flood of new content into the game to tide us all over until the next big DLC drop comes (which we&#8217;re apparently going to hear more about in the summer). <\/p>\n<p>As part of this big, final update, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/monsterhunterleaks\/comments\/1r8c00w\/tempered_gogmazios_and_zoh_shia_sw2_version\/\">sleuths digging through the game<\/a>&#8216;s newly-updated code think that they have unearthed more evidence that the game has a Switch 2 version in the works (hat tip, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.videogameschronicle.com\/news\/fans-uncover-strongest-evidence-yet-that-monster-hunter-wilds-is-coming-to-nintendo-switch-2\/\">VGC<\/a>), in the form of a tutorial image depicting Switch 2 local multiplayer. The image was apparently hidden away in the files, and isn&#8217;t supposed to be seen in any current front-end version of the game, but is nestled neatly in the update files. Given the performance issues Wilds has suffered on PC to date, that&#8217;s pretty impressive.
