So for PC and console, one wonders what sort of other games will get nods in the form of such attachments.<\/p>\n<p>Things really seem to be ramping up for Marathon. Not only did it take up a big spot during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/sony-state-of-play-february-2026-everything-announced\">the recent Sony State of Play<\/a>, there&#8217;s a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/the-come-has-come-for-you-to-judge-marathon-for-yourself-again-theres-a-new-server-slam-running-late-feb-into-march\">Server Slam test<\/a> happening between the 26th February until the 2nd March. Finally, players will be able to make their own mind up on whether the game is a hit or a miss.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"injection_placeholder\" data-position=\"1\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The game has certainly ran into its fair share of hurdles during development. Initial feedback on previous tests <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/bungies-troubled-extraction-shooter-marathon-still-aiming-for-release-by-march-2026\">weren&#8217;t entirely positive<\/a>, with many criticising the PvE aspect of the game as well as missing features like proximity voice. There was also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/bungie-morale-reportedly-in-free-fall-as-it-grapples-with-stolen-marathon-assets-fallout\">a massive plagiarism scandal<\/a>, which required developers to comb through the game to remove elements of work belonging to artist Antireal.<\/p>\n<p>The game&#8217;s journey to launch is nearly at an end, with the game launching next month on the 5th March.
