Mariah Carey took part in the opening ceremony at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games in Milan, Italy. She sang a medley of Domenico Modugno\u2019s Italian standard \u201cNel Blu, Dipinto di Blu,\u201d commonly known as \u201cVolare,\u201d and \u201cNothing Is Impossible,\u201d from her own 2025 album Here for It All<\/em>. Legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli also took take the stage during today\u2019s ceremony, singing the aria \u201cNessun Dorma\u201d. Carey has recently been honored with both the Video Vanguard Award at the 2025 MTV VMAs and MusiCares\u2019 Person of the Year at the 2026 Grammys. In December, her modern Christmas staple \u201cAll I Want for Christmas Is You\u201d became the longest-running No. 1 song in U.S. chart history.<\/p>\n
