Tadej Poga\u010dar wouldn\u2019t stand for becoming the latest pro to suffer an ugly interaction with the cycling public.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, the beyond-the-sport superstar hit out on Strava at a fan who eagerly sought a selfie while he was out training along Spain\u2019s Valencian coast.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you find me in conversation with someone and you ask me for photo, I ask you to give me two minutes to finish talk [sic<\/em>]. Do you wait two minutes or show me middle finger and take off angry? (And have your partner yelling at me?),\u201d Poga\u010dar wrote in the blurb accompanying his Strava post.<\/p>\n

\u201cLong day ended with losing biggest fan. BTW, I love you all. Heck I even like the fans that are not my supporters but don\u2019t have attitude of spoiled teenager,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar only rarely uploads his workouts for the world to noodle over on Strava.<\/p>\n

When he does, they\u2019re typically files from races, group rides, or are accompanied by a promotional or celebratory message.<\/p>\n

The world champion\u2019s rare public outburst Wednesday come just weeks after his rival Jonas Vingegaard crashed while being followed by an enthusiastic amateur during a training ride further down the Spanish coast in M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n

However, unlike the incident with Vingegaard last month, there\u2019s little detail about what happened between Poga\u010dar and the photo-hunting fan. It\u2019s unknown whether UAE Emirates-XRG\u2019s celebrity cyclist was riding or stationary when the interaction occurred.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the news marks the latest flashpoint in a growing trend of amateurs riding with or interrupting pros while they work on the open roads.<\/p>\n

And this isn\u2019t Poga\u010dar\u2019s first warning to his zealous fan base.<\/p>\n

He was famously seen wearing a \u201cdo not disturb\u201d jersey when he sought a quiet reboot from going deep to win his fourth Tour de France last summer.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar debuts his season next month at Strade Bianche.<\/p>\n

Poga\u010dar was interrupted while training along the Valencian coast on Wednesday.<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n
