BTS\u2019s live comeback won\u2019t begin at the start of their world tour this spring, but rather at home in the comfort of everybody\u2019s living room. The K-pop juggernauts have announced BTS The Comeback Live | Arirang,<\/em> a special concert broadcasting exclusively on Netflix. What\u2019s more, they also inked a deal with the streaming giant to release a new documentary, BTS: The Return<\/em>.<\/p>\n

BTS will perform their Netflix concert on March 21\u2014one day after the release of their new album, Arirang<\/em>\u2014at the Gwanghwamun in Seoul. The livestream begins at 7 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. It will be directed by Hamish Hamilton, and lists Hybe, BigHit Music, Guy Carrington, Garrett English, and Kevin Hermanson as executive producers. It\u2019s the first-ever live event to be broadcast globally from Korea, notes Deadline<\/em>.<\/p>\n

BTS: The Return<\/em> will hit Netflix on March 27. Directed by Bao Nguyen, the film follows BTS as they plot their reunion. In 2021, the group paused all activities to complete South Korea\u2019s mandatory military service. The K-pop group dropped their first anthology album, Proof<\/em>, the following June, while each member pursued their own solo projects afterward, including J-Hope\u2019s Jack in the Box<\/em>, RM\u2019s Indigo<\/em>, and Jimin\u2019s Face<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Arirang<\/em> is the first full-length album by BTS in six years, following 2020\u2019s Be<\/em>. This April, BTS will embark on a massive stadium tour, which spans 79 shows across five continents.<\/p>\n
