It started with stars like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/doja-cat\">Doja Cat<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/julia-fox\">Julia Fox<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/63067\/1\/an-ode-to-chappell-roan-s-make-up-beauty-ellen-atlanta-divine\">Chappel Roan<\/a> pushing the envelope with bold, experimental beauty looks. And then all of a sudden the red carpet was filled with maximalist make-up. There\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/doechii\">Doechii<\/a> and make-up artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/61608\/1\/dee-carrion-getting-to-know-the-dazed-100-make-up-artist\">Dee Carrion<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/tyla\">Tyla<\/a> and her make-up artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/67002\/1\/esther-edeme-make-up-artist-black-women-embrace-colourful-blush-sza\">Painted by Esther<\/a>, Meg Stalter and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/68328\/1\/all-the-cool-girls-want-alexandra-french-grungy-glittery-make-up-looks\">Alexandra French<\/a> and, of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/zara-larsson\">Zara Larsson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/66715\/1\/make-up-artist-sophia-sinot-keeps-going-viral-doja-cat-troye-sivan\">Sophie Sinot<\/a>, the latter of whom have been going repeatedly viral <\/span>for the looks they\u2019ve been creating on Larsson\u2019s tour.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span>I think it\u2019s reminded people that make-up is supposed to be playful and carefree,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sophiasinot\/?hl=en\">Sinot<\/a> on why these looks have received so much attention. \u201cI\u2019ve said this before but self-expression is such a core part of being human, and make-up is one of the easiest ways to let your uniqueness shine through. In a world full of rules and expectations, it feels good to stop taking ourselves so seriously and just have fun with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was, of course, Sinot who was on make-up for Larsson\u2019s appearance at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/grammys\">Grammys<\/a> this weekend. It was Larsson\u2019s first time attending the show, thanks to her nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording category for \u201cMidnight Sun\u201d. In tribute to the song, her team decided to make her embody the shining, fiery light of the sun.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span>Styled by Caterine Ospina, Larsson wore a golden-yellow couture look with sun-rays from Kevin Germanier, with gold Swarovski earrings and her golden blonde hair which was tousled into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DUPRXrDkdEJ\/?img_index=1\">long, effortless mermaid waves<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/68437\/1\/john-novotny-fantasy-hair-wigs-julia-fox-chappell-roan-alex-consani-subway\">John Novotny<\/a>. Encrusted, gem-embellished nails that perfectly matched the couture came courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/42448\/1\/nailsbyjuan-nail-art\">Juan Alvear<\/a>, while Sinot <\/span>created a golden, sun-kissed glam that was fresh and radiant. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"instagram-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-instagram\" data-script-depends=\"instagram-embeds\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p>Leaning into Larsson\u2019s signature sun-burnt blush, Sinot tells Dazed \u201cthe idea was to make her look like she\u2019d been glowing in the sun for hours.\u201d While the look was slightly more natural than others they\u2019ve producer before, there were still a lot of intricate techniques involved. \u201cThe blush placement, for example, had to look like a genuine \u2018I\u2019ve been in the sun for hours\u2019 moment,\u201d she explains. For the eye look, Sinot carefully glued some of Larsson\u2019s real lashes to the false lashes using a tiny amount of glue to keep everything looking natural.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sinot employed a full face of Maybelline, including Cloudtopia Cheek &amp; Lip Color Mousse in 05 Coral Illusion, the Nudes Eyeshadow Palette, and the Sky High Waterproof Mascara<span>. <\/span>\u201cI kept the base soft and glowy, then layered the Cloudtopia blush just under the eyes and across the bridge of the nose,\u201d she goes on. \u201cI used the Nudes palette to softly shape the eyes, adding the lighter shimmery shades to highlight the inner corners, brow bone, cheekbones and nose bridge. And then all of a sudden the red carpet was filled with maximalist make-up. There\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/doechii\">Doechii<\/a> and make-up artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/61608\/1\/dee-carrion-getting-to-know-the-dazed-100-make-up-artist\">Dee Carrion<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/tyla\">Tyla<\/a> and her make-up artist <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/67002\/1\/esther-edeme-make-up-artist-black-women-embrace-colourful-blush-sza\">Painted by Esther<\/a>, Meg Stalter and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/68328\/1\/all-the-cool-girls-want-alexandra-french-grungy-glittery-make-up-looks\">Alexandra French<\/a> and, of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/tag\/zara-larsson\">Zara Larsson<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/66715\/1\/make-up-artist-sophia-sinot-keeps-going-viral-doja-cat-troye-sivan\">Sophie Sinot<\/a>, the latter of whom have been going repeatedly viral <\/span>for the looks they\u2019ve been creating on Larsson\u2019s tour.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span>I think it\u2019s reminded people that make-up is supposed to be playful and carefree,\u201d says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/sophiasinot\/?hl=en\">Sinot<\/a> on why these looks have received so much attention. \u201cI\u2019ve said this before but self-expression is such a core part of being human, and make-up is one of the easiest ways to let your uniqueness shine through. In a world full of rules and expectations, it feels good to stop taking ourselves so seriously and just have fun with it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was, of course, Sinot who was on make-up for Larsson\u2019s appearance at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/grammys\">Grammys<\/a> this weekend. It was Larsson\u2019s first time attending the show, thanks to her nomination for Best Dance Pop Recording category for \u201cMidnight Sun\u201d. In tribute to the song, her team decided to make her embody the shining, fiery light of the sun.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\"><span>Styled by Caterine Ospina, Larsson wore a golden-yellow couture look with sun-rays from Kevin Germanier, with gold Swarovski earrings and her golden blonde hair which was tousled into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DUPRXrDkdEJ\/?img_index=1\">long, effortless mermaid waves<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/68437\/1\/john-novotny-fantasy-hair-wigs-julia-fox-chappell-roan-alex-consani-subway\">John Novotny<\/a>. Encrusted, gem-embellished nails that perfectly matched the couture came courtesy of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dazeddigital.com\/beauty\/article\/42448\/1\/nailsbyjuan-nail-art\">Juan Alvear<\/a>, while Sinot <\/span>created a golden, sun-kissed glam that was fresh and radiant. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"instagram-container embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"media-instagram\" data-script-depends=\"instagram-embeds\">\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><\/div>\n<div class=\"embed-content\" data-embed-type=\"raw-html\">\n<p>Leaning into Larsson\u2019s signature sun-burnt blush, Sinot tells Dazed \u201cthe idea was to make her look like she\u2019d been glowing in the sun for hours.\u201d While the look was slightly more natural than others they\u2019ve producer before, there were still a lot of intricate techniques involved. \u201cThe blush placement, for example, had to look like a genuine \u2018I\u2019ve been in the sun for hours\u2019 moment,\u201d she explains. For the eye look, Sinot carefully glued some of Larsson\u2019s real lashes to the false lashes using a tiny amount of glue to keep everything looking natural.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sinot employed a full face of Maybelline, including Cloudtopia Cheek &amp; Lip Color Mousse in 05 Coral Illusion, the Nudes Eyeshadow Palette, and the Sky High Waterproof Mascara<span>. <\/span>\u201cI kept the base soft and glowy, then layered the Cloudtopia blush just under the eyes and across the bridge of the nose,\u201d she goes on. \u201cI used the Nudes palette to softly shape the eyes, adding the lighter shimmery shades to highlight the inner corners, brow bone, cheekbones and nose bridge.
