Thundercat is set to release his first album in six years. Distracted<\/em> is out April 3 via Brainfeeder Records, and includes the single, \u201cI Did This To Myself\u201d with Lil Yachty, along with additional production from Kenny Beats, Flying Lotus, and the Lemon Twigs. The album also features \u201cShe Knows Too Much,\u201d a previously unheard collaboration with Thundercat\u2019s late friend Mac Miller, plus guest spots from A$AP Rocky, Tame Impala, Channel Tres, and Willow.<\/p>\n

Distracted<\/em> continues the themes of grief explored in Thundercat\u2019s fourth album, It Is What It Is,<\/em> which was partially written about the sudden loss of Miller. \u201cI don\u2019t think the heartbreak ever stopped,\u201d the bassist and singer writes in a press release for Distracted<\/em>. \u201cIf it ain\u2019t a girl, it\u2019s taxes. If it ain\u2019t taxes, it\u2019s World War III. If it ain\u2019t World War III, it\u2019s a new update to the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n
