The track continues the band&#8217;s signature mix of high-speed deathgrind, grisly storytelling, and hook-laden grooves.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist and vocalist <strong>Matt Harvey<\/strong> commented on the new release: &#8220;Feast your eyes and ears on &#8216;Shovelhead,&#8217; the latest and sleaziest track to ooze out of our new record, Red Asphalt. Join us, the queasy riders in <strong>Exhumed<\/strong>, on our latest wrong turn, straight through a dead end and directly into your brain.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The single is accompanied by a twisted animated video created by <strong>Phil Hall<\/strong> (<strong>Municipal Waste<\/strong>, <strong>Iron Reagan<\/strong>, <strong>Morbikon<\/strong>), showcasing<strong> Exhumed<\/strong>&#8216;s signature macabre humor and high-octane road mayhem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvey<\/strong> described the album&#8217;s concept as a continuation of<strong> Exhumed<\/strong>&#8216;s gruesome storytelling: &#8220;This time around, we&#8217;re inviting you to accompany us to a place that we spend a disproportionate amount of our lives, someplace familiar yet far more dangerous than it feels\u2026 the American roadway.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Pre-orders for <em>Red Asphalt<\/em> are available here. To support the release, <strong>Exhumed<\/strong> will take <em>Red Asphalt<\/em> on the road throughout 2026. The band kicks off a U.S. tour from February 19 through March 21 with <strong>Oxygen Destroyer<\/strong> and <strong>No\/M\u00e1s<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>After a brief pit stop, <strong>Exhumed<\/strong> heads to Europe and the UK alongside Relapse labelmates <strong>Gruesome<\/strong>, running from April 4 through May 2.
