Released independently, the track finds <strong>Gutslit<\/strong> doubling down on their reputation as one of the most uncompromising and visceral forces in modern death metal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I, Berzerker&#8221; is a raw declaration of intent. Written as a defiant response to the idea that bands should soften or mellow with age, the song captures <strong>Gutslit<\/strong> at their most primal and focused. Blistering riffs, punishing rhythms, and guttural vocals collide in a tightly controlled assault that balances surgical precision with unrestrained brutality.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing inspiration from the myth of the Berzerker \u2014 the warrior consumed by battle rage \u2014 the track reframes that legend as a metaphor for creative freedom. Lyrically, &#8220;I, Berzerker&#8221; explores instinct, release, and total immersion in the act of creation, with violence and fury serving as symbols of purpose, expression, and identity rather than destruction alone.<\/p>\n<p>The single also marks a significant turning point for the band&#8217;s lineup. Now operating as a five-piece, <strong>Gutslit<\/strong> introduce a dual-guitar attack featuring <strong>Ishwar Hariharan<\/strong> and Aditya Swaminathan, adding renewed melodic depth and dynamic interplay to the band&#8217;s signature savagery. Anchoring the chaos are longtime members <strong>Aditya Barve<\/strong> on vocals, <strong>Gurdip Singh Narang<\/strong> on bass, and <strong>Aaron Pinto<\/strong> on drums, forming a core that remains as vicious and relentless as ever.<\/p>\n<p>Production duties were handled by the band themselves, with drums recorded at Gray Spark Studio and guitars and bass tracked at Altar Studio.
