{"id":1697072,"date":"2026-01-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T21:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/analyse.optim.biz\/?p=1697072"},"modified":"2026-01-15T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T21:00:00","slug":"bosse-de-nage-announce-first-album-in-eight-years-streams-no-such-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/analyse.optim.biz\/?p=1697072","title":{"rendered":"BOSSE-DE-NAGE Announce First Album In Eight Years, Streams &#8220;No Such Place&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"zox-post-body left zoxrel zox100\">\n<div id=\"8029\"><\/div>\n<p>San Francisco post-black metal lifers <strong>Bosse-de-Nage<\/strong> are back with their first new record in eight years and I personally could not be more stoked.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bosse-De-Nage<\/strong> will release <em>Hidden Fires Burn Hottest<\/em> on March 6 via The Flenser, the label <strong>Bosse-de-Nage<\/strong> have called home for more than fifteen years. <strong>Bosse-de-Nage<\/strong> were among the first artists The Flenser ever partnered with, and today they hold the label&#8217;s longest active relationship.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hidden Fires Burn Hottest<\/em> was tracked by <strong>Jack Shirley<\/strong> (<strong>Deafheaven<\/strong>, <strong>Oathbreaker<\/strong>) at Atomic Garden East and mixed and mastered by <strong>Richard Chowenhill<\/strong> of <strong>Agriculture<\/strong>. The album was years in the making, with some material dating back to 2018. That extended gestation period gave the band something rare: time. Time to live with ideas, to revise without pressure, and to let songs find their own internal logic rather than forcing them into shape.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time, lyricist <strong>Bryan Manning<\/strong> wrote all of his lyrics in advance, creating a surplus rather than racing deadlines. The result is a record that feels considered at every level \u2014 nothing rushed, nothing overstated. Compared to 2016&#8217;s <em>Further Still<\/em>, which was defined by constraint and economy, this album embraces sprawl and strangeness.<\/p>\n<p>That shift is especially clear on lead single &#8220;No Such Place.&#8221; One of the oldest songs in the cycle, it has come to represent the emotional core of the album.
