Mitski is back. Her new album, Nothing\u2019s About to Happen to Me<\/em>, is out February 27 via Dead Oceans. Directed by Noel Paul, the music video for lead single \u201cWhere\u2019s My Phone?\u201d draws inspiration from Shirley Jackson\u2019s novel We Have Always Lived in the Castle<\/em>. Mitski plays a recluse whose gothic manor is set upon by intruders from the outside world. Watch it below.<\/p>\n

Last year, Mitski released a concert film and accompanying live album, both of which were recorded during the tour for her 2023 album, The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We<\/em>. Members of her touring band also contributed to Nothing\u2019s About to Happen to Me<\/em>. Mitski is still working on a stage musical adaptation of The Queen\u2019s Gambit<\/em>, according to a press release.<\/p>\n
