Snail Mail has announced her first album in five years. Ricochet<\/em> is out March 27 via Matador. Lindsey Jordan co-directed the music video for lead single \u201cDead End\u201d with Elsie Richter. Watch it below.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shot the video for \u2018Dead End\u2019 in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5pm and 4am on one of the coldest nights of my life,\u201d Jordan said in a press statement. \u201cThe goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jordan\u2019s last album as Snail Mail, Valentine<\/em>, came out in 2021. Since then, she\u2019s launched a music festival in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, appeared in Jane Schoenbrun\u2019s film I Saw the TV Glow<\/em>, and covered songs by Superdrag, Pavement, Lou Reed, and This Is Lorelei.<\/p>\n

Jordan will tour Ricochet<\/em> across North America beginning in April. She\u2019ll be joined by Sharp Pins at almost all stops, with additional support coming from Avalon Emerson & the Charm, @, Swirlies, Armlock, and Rocket.
