The Foundation Mask is the latest addition to the brand’s popular Foundation line. Its primary purpose is to be used as a companion product to the brand’s non-stripping shampoo and conditioner when your hair needs an extra boost of hydration.\n<\/p>\n

“In my 22 years as a hairstylist, I\u2019ve seen thousands of clients struggle with dry hair. I have always incorporated masks into a routine, but found many to be too heavy, or too time consuming to use,” Roszak wrote on Instagram, “Over the past three years, I\u2019ve been developing a mask that TRULY hydrates, repairs and deeply nourishes the hair, without depending on silicones to create the illusion of softness, never weighing hair down.”<\/p>\n

The Formula <\/span><\/h2>\n

By sealing in moisture and enhancing strand flexibility by fortifying the hair’s outer layer, this mask promises to moisturize hair, preserve hair color, and decrease breakage with each use. A blend of vitamin E-rich oils prevents dryness, color fading, and frizz, while rice bran extract strengthens strands, reducing breakage. Rosemary leaf oil rounds out the formula, conditioning hair to add softness and shine. Plus, the mask is vegan, color-safe, extension-safe, and free of sulfates, parabens, and silicones (if that’s your preference).\n<\/p>\n

Roz Hair recommends applying the mask after cleansing and wringing out excess water. Comb the mask through your hair and let it sit for up to 10 minutes before thoroughly rinsing. The Foundation Mask, formulated for all hair types and textures, can be used whenever your hair needs hydration, up to daily use. My Reivew <\/span><\/h2>\n

In the summer months,\u00a0my hair tends to lose moisture due to the repeat UV ray, swimming pool, and salty ocean water exposure. So, to say my hair needed some TLC is quite an understatement. My first impression of the Foundation Mask was just how thick and lovely the formula felt in my hands. Think less slippery, more buttery. I noticed this texture once again when I went to rinse out my hair. It felt like my strands had absorbed <\/em>the product rather than feeling like the product was just coating or sitting atop the hair.\n<\/p>\n

I tend to notice that my curl pattern is more defined when I use silicone-free products, so I couldn’t wait to see my results after letting my hair air dry. And what do you know\u2014my 2B, 2C curl pattern looked more defined and less frizzy. Since that first trial, I’ve used the mask two times a week and have noticed a difference. Accessibility-wise, the key is also a nice touch for those of us who don’t have the hand strength to squeeze every lost drop out.
