          About My Lips: On the Drier Side <\/span><\/h2>\n

          I\u2019ve been through two rounds of Accutane, which means that my lips are chronically dry. It\u2019s safe to say that I\u2019m a lip balm fiend\u2014I tend to carry around three to four products in my purse, reapplying several times throughout the day. That being said, I\u2019m picky with my lip balms: I prefer non-sticky, non-greasy formulas that keep my lips hydrated throughout the day. My skin is also acne-prone, so some heavier balms can cause breakouts around my mouth.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

          Over the span of four weeks, I applied this lip balm three to four times a day, replacing my usual lip cocktail (Rhode\u2019s Peptide Lip Treatment and Vaseline make for an unexpectedly potent duo). I found it somewhat difficult to apply the lip balm frequently, but once I got the hang of it, I was able to integrate it into my morning, touch-up, and night routines.\n<\/p>\n

It\u2019s more comparable to a lip serum: lightweight, non-sticky, somewhat watery, and hydrating. It has a subtle, glossy sheen that lasts for around an hour. You might need to apply the product more often than others, but a major plus of the lighter formula is that it wears comfortably and is less likely to irritate lips or sensitive skin.\n<\/p>\n

          The Scent: Not for Everyone <\/span><\/h2>\n

          While it isn’t explicitly fragranced, this lip balm has a faint smell and taste that reminded me of plastic. I wasn\u2019t bothered by it, but if you have a sensitive nose, this is worth taking into consideration.\n<\/p>\n

          Upon application, The Inkey List’s Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm has a hydrating and glossy finish, though it fades after around an hour. Over time\u2014I tested this lip balm over the course of four weeks\u2014I found there to be a subtle difference in my lip definition. My before-and-after pictures are definitely more subdued than those on the brand’s website, but the difference is there: More specifically, my upper lip is a tad plumper and more defined.\n<\/p>\n

          Moreover, I was thoroughly impressed by how skin-friendly this lip balm was. Thicker formulas, plumping ingredients, and frequent reapplication tend to be a recipe for mouth acne for me, but my skin had no negative reaction to this product.\n<\/p>\n

          The Value: Budget-friendly and Effective <\/span><\/h2>\n

          The Inkey List is beloved for its accessible prices overall, and the Tripeptide Plumping Lip Balm is no exception at $13. In addition, the balm contains more powerhouse ingredients and potential benefits than many competitors at that price point. However, the actual amount of product\u20140.33 oz.\u2014is on the smaller side, especially given that you\u2019re instructed to apply it three times a day. All in all, though, $13 is a meager amount compared to what you would pay for lip filler. Girl math!\n<\/p>\n
