    I’ll admit it, I was not instantly on the Rhode train, as I was skeptical of yet another<\/em> celebrity beauty brand in such a crowded landscape. However, I was quickly convinced otherwise\u2014the creative direction is always on point, the prices are reasonable, and the products are genuinely great. Hailey Bieber’s brand has fully won me over, and now I anxiously await each and every new launch, excited to add it to my stash.\n<\/p>\n

    I’m obviously not alone in this sentiment. Rhode has only been in business for two years and some change, and it’s already become the<\/em> It Girl brand of the 2020s. Though the brand was built on skincare essentials, its Peptide Lip Treatments and colorful Lip Tints have become its breakout hit, selling out constantly with waitlists in the thousands. So, it only makes sense that Bieber’s next move would be to expand her lip empire with a lip liner.\n<\/p>\n

    On January 30, the brand’s second-ever makeup product, Peptide Lip Shape, officially joins Rhode’s lineup.\n<\/p>\n

    Hailey Bieber is notorious for hiding her new launches in her viral makeup tutorials, and she’s been slipping in an unmarked lip liner since March 2024. Fans have been begging <\/em>for details, and now we finally have them. Peptide Lip Shape goes beyond a traditional lip liner, acting like a creamy contour to effortlessly shape the lips. Meant to be less precise than a classic pencil, Lip Shape has a rounded tip on one side and a silicone smudger on the other to blend and blur the liner to your heart’s content.\n<\/p>\n

    As the name suggests, the star of the show here are the peptides in the formula, which are also key to all of Rhode’s beloved products like the Pocket Blushes and Lip Treatments. The peptides not only give the liners a glidy texture, but help soften lips and boost hydration over time. The formula also includes fenugreek exctract, to help improve the look of lip volume and firmness. The formula is vegan, cruelty-free, and dermatologist-tested.\n<\/p>\n

    How to Wear Peptide Lip Shape <\/span><\/h2>\n

    Peptide Lip Shape comes in 11 neutral shades: Lift (soft neutral pink), Press (warm pinky mauve), Bend (soft peachy beige), Lunge (rosy beige), Twist (warm taupe), Balance (caramel brown), Lean (warm medium brown), Stretch (neutral mocha brown), Flex (rich neutral brown), Spin (rich plum brown), and Move (deep cool brown). The brand recommends choosing a shade close to your lip shade for a more natural look, or a darker shade for more of a contoured effect.\n<\/p>\n

    You can use Peptide Lip Shape to line, or to fill in your entire lips. While of course you can wear them alone or with any lip product in your stash, the brand suggests applying the liner, tapping some Pocket Blush on the center, and finishing off with the Peptide Lip Tint.\n<\/p>\n

    “I wear Rhode’s blushes every day, so I was hoping the lip liner would have the same yummy texture and easy application that I expect from the brand. As it turns out, my wishes came true, and Peptide Lip Shape is one of the easiest lip products I’ve ever tried. It has a creamy texture with a silky slip that truly glides right on with no skipping, even over my crusty winter lips. It’s so easy to outline, overline, or fill in your lips, and is pretty mistake-proof. It won’t get you the most crisp line, but that’s kind of the point. The liners are really comfortable to wear, and look great alone or with a lipstick or gloss. I’m also super impressed by the shade range on both the lighter and darker end of the spectrum\u2014usually ‘nude’ lip liners skew very orange on me, but there were several shades that suited my skin tone. I’m wearing Lunge here, for the perfect nudey-pink.”\n<\/p>\n

This lip shaper definitely lives up to its claims: It is, indeed, much creamier than your usual lip pencil, so it’s much easier to blend and diffuse for soft color and very natural dimension. (I’m wearing the shade Spin.) I think dramatic contrast would be tougher to achieve with this one\u2014this girl wants to blend!\u2014but there are so many products on the market that provide that, I really wouldn’t consider that a con at all.
