    The Inspiration <\/span><\/h2>\n

    There’s an age-old adage that your perfect “my lips but better” shade is the same color as your nipples, and Glossier’s Lip Line Enhancing Pencils draw from this sentiment. The brand wanted to create shades with the same depth and dimension as real skin, including the nipple. “Each shade takes into account that no natural lip color is ever one note\u2014they are warm, cool, rosy, brown, and everything in between,” says the brand in a statement.\n<\/p>\n

    No matter your skill level, applying lip liner makes you feel like a true artist\u2014there’s something so fun about literally drawing on your lips and creating different combinations with gloss and lipstick. So, Glossier is making sure there are plenty of shades to choose from. The pencils come in eight neutral shades: Hold, a baby pink; Graze, a tawny peach; Buff, a toasted almond; Grip, a medium cool-toned rose; Flush, a cognac shade; Bit, a warm mauve; Nip, a rich walnut brown; and Bare, a dark chocolate.\n<\/p>\n

    The Formula <\/span><\/h2>\n

    In addition to the natural, dimensional shades, Lip Line boats some impressive wear claims. Per the brand, the pencils are water- and smudge-resistant, so you won’t have to worry about re-applying in between sips. With summer around the corner, you can rest assured knowing your lip combo will stay locked and loaded during sweaty days. Despite the long-wear powers, the creamy formula glides on smoothly with no tugging, and hydrates lips with jojoba oil and fractional quartz.\n<\/p>\n

    Like any lip liner, you can wear it by itself or pair it with your favorite lip gloss. What’s more, the brand is also dropping a German-engineered sharpener with steel blades made specifically for the pencils.\n<\/p>\n
