    When makeup has skincare-like ingredients, sure it’s nice, but it’s hard to tell if it’s doing…anything . The concept\u2014enhancing powders and creams with vitamin C, nourishing plant extracts, and more\u2014is nothing revolutionary, but Victoria Beckham is giving it a whole new meaning. The Concealer Pen, Victoria Beckham Beauty’s latest launch, is made in partnership with luxury skincare brand Augustinus Bader, and the brand claims that it’s a “concealer you need less the more you use it.”\n<\/p>\n

    Beauty nerds may have perked up seeing the inclusion of Augustinus Bader, but for those not aware, the brand has amassed a cult following for its swear-by, “this really works” skincare. And, that’s the point: “My favorite thing about The Concealer Pen is that it genuinely works,” says Beckham. “I\u2019ve been using it on myself for months now and I can see a big difference.”\n<\/p>\n

    With big claims backed up by the Trigger Factor Complex (TFC8), handcrafted by Professor Bader himself, The Concealer Pen combines Victoria Beckham Beauty’s sleek cool factor with potent formulas for a product that makes applying concealer actually feel exciting.\n<\/p>\n

    Ahead, Victoria Beckham herself chats with Byrdie about the new launch and its buzzy formulation.\n<\/p>\n

    The Inspiration <\/span><\/h2>\n

    Since the dawn of Victoria Beckham Beauty, its founder had been waiting for the right time to launch a complexion product, and the stars finally aligned with The Concealer Pen. After collaborating with Professor Bader on the Cell Rejuvenating Priming Moisturizer and Serum “I knew the next step of our collaboration was The Concealer Pen,” says Beckham. “I have been such an admirer of the Augustinius Bader products and TFC8 technology, I knew that collaborating with Professor Bader was the key to creating this incredible, double-impact product,” she told Byrdie.\n<\/p>\n

    And thus, the concealer was born: “I had this dream of creating a concealer that not only conceals but treats the skin, and the rest is history.”\n<\/p>\n

    The Formula <\/span><\/h2>\n

    There’s no worse feeling than finding out your favorite product clogs your pores or upsets your skin\u2014the thesis of The Concealer Pen is that it actually benefits your complexion over time. “My goal was to create a product that was good for your skin,” says Beckham, “I wanted customers to get that immediate satisfaction of enhancing your complexion with makeup but also have that long-term impact of treating your skin.”\n<\/p>\n

    How so? The built-in TFC8 technology. The combination of vitamins, lipids, and high-performing proprietary peptides is backed by over 30 years of research from Professor Bader’s background in applied stem cell technology and regenerative medicine. Acetyl hexapeptide-8, polyglutamic acid, and squalane combine to give skin cells the nutrients needed for renewal in order to combat signs of aging for a refreshed complexion.\n<\/p>\n

    “We have these amazing clinicals that are absolutely mind-blowing,” says Beckham. “In four weeks, the concealer visibly improves fine lines and wrinkles, diminishes dark circles, and improves the appearance of hyperpigmentation. We conducted a consumer perception study and 100% agreed that the concealer did not settle into pores and imperfections and that it does not look cakey after eight hours of wear.”\n<\/p>\n

    Skincare science aside, The Concealer Pen has a 16-shade range line, buildable, hydrating coverage, and a satisfying “click click click” when you go to apply it. What more could you want? The pen packaging is meant for quick on-the-go touch-ups that can be applied all over. “What\u2019s so nice about this product is it\u2019s not just for under the eyes, I use it all over: under my eyes, chin, and nose,” says Beckham. Once you click the formula up into the brush, you can swipe it everywhere: “The brush makes it really easy to get to those hard-to-reach places like the crease in your nose,” she says. “I can\u2019t leave the house without it.”\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
