I love browns and deep reds on the lips, something super shimmery on the eyes, and I think the \u2018cold girl\u2019 blush application style is really lovely when paired with faux freckles, especially with a dewy finish on the skin.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    \u201cIf you\u2019re going to a holiday party, shopping for gifts, going ice skating, attending a kid\u2019s birthday celebration, a NYE gathering, or just having a festive moment at work, it\u2019s a sin to not have just a tiny bit of fun with your makeup,\u201d Davy says. \u201cYou\u2019ll inspire those around you, and I\u2019ve found that a sparkly eye is the perfect conversation starter at social gatherings!\u201d\n<\/p>\n

    Pretend you\u2019re an ice queen with an equally icy eye. \u201cIconic blue eyeshadow continues to get a lot of attention, and what makes it so fun is that it\u2019s insanely flattering and totally changes your whole vibe,\u201d says Davy. \u201cIt\u2019s really transformational but you can play with blue in a super subtle way too.\u201d\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    Davy\u2019s pick is Half Magic\u2019s Sparkle Stik in Cloud Kid; the creamy, longwear eyeshadow crayon glides on and stays on. \u201cIt\u2019s so much more sparkly than any other eyeshadow crayon you\u2019ve tried,\u201d says Davy. For a deeper slate color, try Punk Pony. \u201cI love pairing either of the above with a navy blue eyeliner pencil applied in the waterline,\u201d Davy recommends. \u201cNavy blue eyeliner looks amazing on everyone.\u201d\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Makeup artist Anne Skubis says berry is a berry good pick for anything on your winter agenda. \u201cI love berry tones and you can find one that suits all skin tones and undertones,\u201d she explains. Her fave palette for berry eyes is Danessa Myricks\u2019 Groundwork Palette in Blooming Romance, as it contains both pomades for use as a base, plus eyeshadows. \u201cI use the shadows alone when I want a more diffused look with less payoff intensity,\u201d she explains. The pans are also removable, so you could create a mini case for travel or parties.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    Makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes co-signs berry as the shade of the season. For an \u201ceasy and fresh way to get the winter feels,\u201d she recommends applying KJH.brand Soft Smudge Lip & Cheek in Soft Berry on the lips, paired with a matching or slightly darker lip liner. Then, match your blush to your lipstick for a monochromatic moment. \u201cI would wear this honestly to a girls night out, date night or even a wedding.     Swap your basic black and brown for purple, blue, even cranberry. \u201cIf you want to experiment with color but not in an all-over-the-lid eye shadow way, colored mascara is the perfect solution,\u201d says Davy. \u201cYou don\u2019t need precision or blending skills, and it doesn\u2019t add any additional steps to your makeup routine, assuming you already wear mascara.\u201d Her pick is Half Magic\u2019s Eyelectric Extreme Lengthening Mascara in the shade Violet Act, calling it \u201ca great entry-way into non-black mascara.\u201d The slightly pearlescent finish keeps lashes looking lush, not chalky. Davy also likes L\u2019Or\u00e9al Voluminous Mascara in Cobalt Blue.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    \u201cBy grown-up I mean chic, non-chunky, highly shimmery \u2018glitter\u2019 on the eyelids,\u201d explains Davy. From far away, it looks like a simple, neutral eye, but up close, it\u2019s reminiscent of \u201ca magical veil of diamonds on your eyelids,\u201d she says. \u201cA neutral sparkly eye looks amazing with any makeup look, but particularly fabulous with a bold lip during the holiday season.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

    To make your eyes sparkle for parties, weekends, or literally whenever the spirit moves you, try Half Magic\u2019s Glitterpuck Pressed Fairy Dust, which Davy says is \u201cthe holiest of holy grail products to achieve an airy or dense sparkle on your eyelids.\u201d It has a water-infused texture that makes the microfine glitter stick to lids and is easy to apply with your fingers or layer with other shadows.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

    Makeup artist Jonet Williamson is also a fan of the icy, shimmery shadow look when the temp drops. \u201cFor a subtle wet look, try using glitter shadows that are less opaque than a traditional metallic shimmer,\u201d she says. \u201cYou can usually see individual specks of glitter when you swatch these.\u201d (Her fave sparkles are REM Beauty\u2019s Lustrous Liquid Eyeshadows, Makeup by Mario\u2019s Ethereal Eyes Eyeshadow Palette: Moonlight, and Danessa Myricks\u2019 Lightwork VI Palette.) For a pop of sparkle on a smoky eye, Williamson recommends using your finger to pick up the shadow to avoid fallout; if you prefer to use a brush, mist it with setting spray first.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

First, apply a hydrating face cream and SPF, then apply a glowy primer like Milk Makeup Hydro Grip + Glow Primer, followed by a dewy skin tint like MAC\u2019s Strobe Cream. \u201cLightly set the face with powder in areas where you would naturally get oily, then apply a balmy highlighter to the high points of the face and lock everything in with setting spray,\u201d she says. Her fave highlighter for this lit-up look is KJH\u2019s Hypershine High Lite Kit.\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
