Key Takeaways

  • Guava is the latest “it” color, showing up in everything from makeup, to summer dresses, to fragrances.
  • The trend comes on the heels of a spring full of guava-related food and beverage launches, which often influence popular beauty shades.
  • Expect to see and smell guava everywhere as brands embrace this vibrant, tropical colorway, and get ahead of the trend with product picks from Summer Fridays, Rhode, Aritzia, Amazon, and more.

If you’ve noticed that everything is suddenly guava-toned or -scented, you’re not wrong. Beauty brands are leaning on the fruit for both color and fragrance inspiration, manicurists are taking note, and even Dunkin’ has hopped onto the trend.

So, where exactly did this trend come from, and how can you incorporate it into your beauty and style wardrobe? Ahead, discover everything you need to know about the guava pink takeover and our favorite ways to wear the shade this summer.

What Is Guava Pink?

Most closely physically aligned with a literal pink guava (they kind of taste like a cross between a pear and a strawberry), guava pink is a vibrant orange-y pink shade that could easily be described as coral. But it’s not! It’s warmer, it’s sweeter, it’s guava. We like to think of it as a cross between coral and hot pink.

Why It’s Trending

While brands like Glow Recipe and Ceremonia have been big on the ingredient for a minute, everyone seems guava-pilled right now. A new Summer Fridays Lip Butter launch is a big deal, and the brand is right on the pulse this summer with the upcoming release of Pink Guava, a sheer, bright pink balm infused with “the fresh sweetness of guava for your juiciest, most effortless lip yet” that lands June 3.

Eadem’s take on the trend, Le Chouchou Peptide Lip Balm—in the hazy petal pink shade Guava Fresca—imparts the fruit’s flavor while gently buffing and softening your pout. Then there are the fragrances: Ceremonia recently took cues from its (already) famous guava products and released Perfume Mist de Guava, a hair and body mist with notes of guava, violet, and vetiver. Meanwhile, Ellis Brooklyn’s take, Guava Granita Eau de Parfum, also includes notes of banana and vanilla for a just-walked-into-the-Coachella-VIP-tent feeling.

Even Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Pocket Blush in Sprinkle is giving guava pink—reasserting that it’s summer 2025’s version of the strawberry and tomato girl aesthetics.

And like many aesthetic trends of yore, popular colorways are often inspired by prominent foods of the season (I present spring 2023’s blueberry milk nails and last holiday season’s cinnamon girl makeup as further evidence). So it makes sense that all of these beauty launches are coming on the heels of a guava wave in the food and beverage industry. Waterloo released a Guava Berry sparkling water this spring, and a Tropical Guava Refresher recently joined Dunkin’s summer menu.

How to Wear Guava Pink

Guava pink can easily be incorporated into your manicures, outfits, makeup, and beyond (until the best items sell out, that is). On the manicure front, going guava is as simple as finding a polish you love and swiping on a couple of coats. And you have options! Glossify just came out with shade Guava: “a muted, mid shade of pink without any hint of neon” that you can beg your salon to order in. If you’re looking to paint at home, you can try Manucurist’s Capucine, Olive & June’s Guava Gloss, or Cirque Colors’ Guayaba Jelly for a sheer finish.

Outfit-wise, guava pink pieces will continue to roll in as we get deeper into summer. For now, Aritzia has plenty of basics in its guava-esque “sun-faded pink” colorway. You can get your Guava Pink linen pants at Banana Republic, and Chloé’s most recent ready-to-wear collection has some gorgeous variations of the shade. And if head-to-toe pink isn’t totally your style, try incorporating the shade into your accessories, like a clutch bag, jelly sandals, or statement earrings.

With this guava edit at your fingertips, I fully expect to see you at your summer pool party with guava pink lips, a trifle made out of Guava Nectar Gelée, and a guava pink bikini.
