Outernet Live launches under new venue name in central London

Ticketmaster will take over all ticketing operations too as part of the new chapter

Outernet London has unveiled a brand new name for its music and live events venue – Outernet Live.

Formerly known as HERE at Outernet, Outernet Live opened in 2022 and comes as part of Outernet London – the “billion-pound immersive media, music and culture district” that is located on the corner of Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road.

It is the largest live events venue to be built in the centre of London since the 1940s, and has a capacity of 2000.

Now, organisers have announced that it is undergoing a rebrand and will be renamed as Outernet Live. The change comes as the venue is following a “new strategic and programming direction”, including better aligning the venue with the wider Outernet distinct.

Ticketmaster will take over all ticketing operations for Outernet Live in the coming weeks, and there will also be new “exclusive premium offerings in the venue” on the way for visitors, although more details about that will be shared at a later date.

“We are developing a whole new programming strategy for Outernet Live with our in-house programming team and Legends Global and we will supercharge the line up,” said Outernet CEO Philip O’Ferrall.

“Having Ticketmaster on board is fantastic and we are very glad to be working with them. You’ll be seeing more underplays and special shows like Primal Scream and an increased use of our screens to support artists to do amazing things when they perform,” O’Ferrall added.

“We want artists and their fans to have the very best time at Outernet Live and this really is a rebirth of our music venue.”

The Primal Scream show mentioned refers to the upcoming September gigs from Bobby Gillespie and co., where the Scottish band will play two shows celebrating their seminal album ‘XTRMNTR’.

Other upcoming shows at the venue include slots from Young Miko and Arcane Roots.

“London’s cultural scene continues to grow and evolve, with venues like Outernet Live helping to redefine what fans can expect from live entertainment,” shared Sarah Slater, Managing Director for Ticketmaster UK.

“We’re excited to be partnering with the team at this important moment in the venue’s journey. Ticketmaster is perfectly placed to help Outernet Live grow its audience, deepen fan engagement and deliver a seamless experience.”

Among the first to play at the venue when it opened in 2022 were Annie Mac – who brought her club night Before Midnight dance event – as well as Hercules And Love Affair who played their first headline live show since 2018 there, and Sam Ryder, who played two consecutive sold-out gigs at the venue that November.
