Copper Mountain’s Hike Park is Open for Summer

Still itching for skiing and riding this summer? Copper Mountain, Colorado, has farmed an ample amount of snow into its center base area terrain park for skiers and snowboarders wanting to refine their tricks.

The Woodward Copper Summer Hike Park is officially open for the summer season, giving skiers and riders the opportunity to keep progressing on snow throughout the summer months. The park offers 13 rail features and one jump, all built from snow farmed from Copper Mountain‘s Superpipe. The hike park will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for as long as conditions allow.

Hike Park day passes are available for $25, while season passes can be purchased for $249.

More summery activities kicked off Copper Mountain‘s warm season on June 20, with the opening of village activities and mountain biking. Additional adventures include Bumper Boats, Go-Karts, the Rocky Mountain Coaster and Bungee Trampolines. Mountain biking can be accessed by pedaling up the mountain on service roads or via bike haul on the American Eagle chairlift. The bike trails, not necessarily comparable to their ski trail ratings, include beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain.

Copper’s summer season culminates with the Union Peak Festival, Aug. 28-30, featuring performances from Magic City Hippies, The Revitalists, and Turnpike Troubadours. Additional music for the weekend will be announced soon.
