[VIDEO] Snowbird’s 2025-26 Season Edit

Worst season ever? Snowbird Resort, Utah, doesn’t seem to think so.

On June 12, 2026, Snowbird released its 2025-26 season edit, highlighting the season’s successes and struggles with a powder-filled edit that could excite any skier. Titled “Snowbird’s Worst Season Ever? 2025-26 Season,” the edit spells out that even a poor year at Snowbird brings more snow than most resorts across North America.

“Everyone is talking about the worst season ever,” the video narrator says. “And I won’t lie, it was one of the least snowy winters we have ever seen. But to say “worst season ever,” this is still Snowbird we’re talking about.”

The video was essentially a highlight reel of Snowbird’s numerous deep powder days from this past season, something that many resorts missed out on in 2025-26. While many areas in the western United States struggled, 305 inches of snow blanketed Snowbirds’ runs, a number that many resorts dream of even in their best seasons.

There is no denying that Snowbird still saw a drier season than usual. The Bird averages 403 inches of snowfall per year, and the 2025-26 season fell well short. In fact, the entire state of Utah had a disappointing winter, with the Beehive State registering a record-low snowpack as it moved into its summer season.

But amid an unsatisfying season, Snowbird made the most of it. Skiers shared dozens of powder turns, with The Cirque, Baldy, Mineral Basin, and Baldy’s Bowl holding some of the resort’s best powder throughout the year. Sure, a few extra rocks, stumps, and trees were exposed from the resort’s relatively dry season, but Snowbird’s skiers saw it as an opportunity to challenge themselves and sharpen their skills, all while riding the world-class terrain located in the Little Cottonwood Canyon.

“So, worst winter?” the narrator asked. “You can say that, but we would rather have this season here than be anywhere but Snowbird.”

Thus, while Snowbird enjoys its summer operations filled with hiking, biking, climbing, and more, it is a safe bet that The Bird is looking forward to another powder-filled 2026-27 winter season. Passes are currently on sale at Snowbird.com.
