Summary

  • BEAMS BOY and TIMEX collaborate to release a specialized 50th-anniversary Camper Ring Watch
  • The design shrinks the iconic military timepiece into a fully functional ring accessory
  • Technical details include a lightweight resin case paired with a stainless steel expansion band

BEAMS BOY and TIMEX have officially introduced the Camper Ring Watch. Serving as a 50th-anniversary bespoke release, this collaborative piece reinterprets the iconic military-inspired timepiece into a miniature, functional jewelry item.

Drawing inspiration from 1990s ring watches and the 1920s tradition of converting women’s timepieces into jewelry, the project transforms the standard wrist accessory into a wearable ring. Developing the model took over a decade of requests from BEAMS buyers, as the primary challenge involved housing a fully functional Japanese movement inside a heavily downsized structure. The resulting design successfully merges the high-visibility dial of the classic military Camper with a playful, jewelry-like aesthetic.

For its construction, the accessory utilizes a lightweight resin case and a classic acrylic crystal. The base of the watch is fitted with a stainless steel expansion band, designed to stretch and accommodate ring sizes 9 through 15 comfortably. Because the links cannot be removed or added, the flexible band ensures an easy fit without feeling cumbersome on the finger. The minimalist three-hand model operates simply, requiring wearers to pull the crown at the three o’clock position to adjust the time.

The BEAMS BOY x TIMEX Camper Ring Watch drops in early April 2026 via BEAMS.
